I wan't to know, who did what when where why. What is the right question. What was the one thing and another that led to... what?
Is it one of those experiences that require a poet?
Answer what may be answered and I will ask anew.

There is a good bit of poetry involved, but I'll try to give you a quick summary. Following the links on the page Tai provided will fill in a lot of details.

As for who, well, it's Donahoo's fault. She had a biweekly party in Until Uru, and at the first one of these I attended she taught me how to broadcast. I was just at the initial experimental stage of using a computer as a music server, so the timing was right. Two weeks later I had all of 8 or so CDs on the PC, and I hosted my first musical event, UCF (Uru Christian Fellowship) Music Night.

Six months later I did the first "Up On the Roof!" party. This was set up as something I could do, and repeat, by myself. I don't like meetings and spending time organizing things, so I kept it as simple as possible. When Zam and Old Man requested the early start, though, I had the idea that a 10-hour party would want some help. So, I asked for help. Zam and Ghaelen signed up, and Oldmanjob, and Gwynhwyvar, and Essjay, and Jane toward the end of the D'mala era. I think. This loose gorup of nice people eventually acquired a name: the Rooftop Volunteer Group, or RVG of not-meeting fame.

Some things change. My music library is now around 2200 CDs instead of 8. I use Shoutcast, thanks to Ashtar, instead of Teamspeak. Some things don't change: the RVG is still made up of nice folks who don't much care for meetings.

Thanks, but if it were that easy, I wouldn't have put up this topic. I looked over those sites and didn't find anything about the signs and inscriptions. They mostly work off of the papers you find around.

Ohhhhhh! That is beautiful! Exile is one of my very favorite 'other worlds' I visit, so this is perfect.

Well, here in Paradise, in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, it is always pleasant. Funny to others, I know, but when the temp drops to the 70s during the day, and down into the 60s during the night (Brrrrrr) it seems cold. It's 72* right now and I"m bundled up in a sweatshirt, long pants, socks and shoes...and still chilly. LOL (Of course, when it gets up to 89*, we think we are dying from the heat!)

Here are a few more pictures from Tokotah II.

This is a view of one of the decorative rock arches on the terrace atop Tokotah II Building Four. I'm standing under another.

Visible from the lakeside promenade near the Ferry Terminal, you can see that there is a door in Building Four that exits on a narrow ledge. Here's a shot of the door from the ledge. The ledge goes around the building, and there's an identical door on the opposite side of the structure. It's too dark there for me to get a photo of it.

In that last photo, the scaley-looking structure to the right is the top of the flying roof over the Ferry Terminal.

Looking at the main entrance to Building One, here's a picture of the area from atop a strange decorative walkway. It's a semicircular stone walk with no guard rails. You can see a gate from the stairs that allows access to it, so it was always intended that people could walk out here.

Here is the main door to Building One.

Finally, here is a view from the balcony around the main door, down at the stairs up from the Kahlo Pub corridor. You can see where I was standing two photos ago, at the end of the straight beam in front of me. The part that is broken off probably made it more or less square shaped at the end.

Going by these features, and all the ladders and high, narrow walkways to be found throughout the Ages, I've always wondered if the D'ni weren't half-bird. That, or they must have had a serious love affair with vertigo.
