How much do you "Clean Up/Straighten"?

Before I log off every day, I put on my PJ's and link to Teledahn. I go up the elevator to the aquarium room and sleep in the green bed. LOL

Just kidding but it would be nice to live there for a while and SCUBA with shroomie.

Paradox's guide is very good and should hit most things. Also see the comments attached to it. Mouse jumpiness may just be oversensitivity, try dialing it down either natively or within Uru. It's worth checking virtual memory while Uru is running. If the system is swapping heavily (100MB+) then it could use more physical RAM. Besides Paradox's guide, a good source of information is the Wine apps database. Since there have been multiple releases of Uru you have to comb through all the test reports of all the associated entries for possible tips (don't assume all the MOUL reports are filed under MOUL, etc).

I can vouch for MOULa and UruCC on Fedora 12 with Wine 1.1.29 + DIB patches. I configured Wine with an openal32 override, a virtual desktop, and ALSA drivers in Full mode instead of PulseAudio for sound. On F12 ALSA forwards everything to PulseAudio anyway, but I found this way the mmap weirdness is handled gracefully. I found the Wine 1.1.30+ releases had issues compiling w/OpenSSL on F12, and it wasn't worth my time to hunt down the root cause.

Try going to Antelope canyon, near Page, Arizona, or the Fiery Furnace in Arches National Park. You also might like Mesa Verde National Park, it has real Kivas.

I think this is a great idea. One of the things I love about the Myst games is the immersive soundscapes, so I really miss sounds when they are left out of explorer-made ages (hint hint...).

Spatial puzzles might still be possible, based on the position and relative loudness of layered sounds.

Anyone fancy a game of Gemedet?

Was able to successfully build the program in GCC with one change and a few warnings. lol

You also used old style c casting, but that's no biggy as they just gave warnings. Overall nice job and hope to see the future releases, and will try to play around with it myself. (Gonna try to see if I can get it working with wxWidgets to drop the use of console).
