Ooooh Almak! Thank you again for a beautiful rendition. Some have mentioned the calendar on the left. Well, I for one thank you. You forced me to research my 'personalization' options and I learned how to unlock the icon grid and choose for myself where to put my icons. Now who would of thunk?

Just getting a lovely(read: not lovely) wash of my Desktop background colour instead Any techie help?
Another great calendar image! My desktop is all set up for another month.

I use another free utility called RocketDock (http://www.rocketdock.com) to keep all of my icons off the desktop until I need them. Moving the mouse to the top of the screen where they are hidden causes them to "drop down" like an instant menu.

It works great, and you can then use great images like Almak's without having to re-arrange things as the pictures change.

Thank you for your comment. The reason the calendar is on the left side is because the numbers become washed out in the grey of the rock formations on the right side of the image.

One free utility I like to use is Fences (http://www.stardock.com/products/fences/?ref=). It allows you to group your icons in a "fence" and you can double click your desktop to hide everything so it looks nice and clean. Double click to bring them back.

The wallpaper is very nice. One comment, I think that the calendar should be on other side. For me, my icons are on the same side as the calendar now.

was a good decision as I assumed you would be opening a different topic on this one lol ...
What can I tell you of this overwhelmingly awesome piece of a spectacular magnificent

Thanks a lot, Almak ... This is just myst-eriously mind-blowing and definitely worthy to be added
to the gallery of your masterpieces and it's also nice to have the calendar on the left this time ...

                                      Greetings!

The October 2011 calendar image is of the rebel hive in Riven. It is the first calendar wallpaper I've made from the Riven series. I have no doubt that all of you die hard fans will notice something is different with it as well. Since the original image I used was a bitmap, the sky was a bit too grainy for my liking so I extracted it and placed the hive under an almost clear, starry sky. I think it added to the, ahem, "Mystique" of the image and I find it even more fitting in this iteration for the month of October and the Halloween holiday.

The wallpaper can be downloaded at http://www.mystgallery.com/wallpapers.

On a personal note, this may be one of my favorites yet. It brings me back to those nostalgic times of early Cyan. Let me know what you think.
