This release is really for more savy users at this point. More comprehensive instructions will be released later once we work around the issue of needing to give you the keys to the universe to do anything

As explained on the GoW forums, you should use PlClient, not the uru explorer as it tries to patch the files.

The crash on exit is normal, and you may need to kill the process yourself.

Edit: I would like to add that as it is an internal build, you might get some clothing in your closet (like sharper's hat for male avatars) that might possibly cause drama if worn in public places. Causing drama is rather easy sometimes :/

hi everyone

i just downloaded the file and... it doesn't work

no prb to unzip and replace files (pls dont forget to keep the original ones just in case) but nothing happens when u use uru launcher. it stays frozen on patcher update.

Edit : and also seems to not exit properly if u force shutdown.

Any idea? or is there something i did a wrong way (replaced files, copied new ones, updated Physx) ?

Branan has built a CWE binary from the current head of the H-uru/Plasma master. You can also download the max plugin (for 3ds Max 2010/2011). See the main announcement on the Guild of Writers forum for download links.

Features of H-uru/Plasma:

Better input support--you are now able to send international chat
Improved the cursors
Fixed corrupted jpegs
Prevent some remote code exploits by screening network messages
Add support for multiple servers through config file (server.ini)
Don't disable num lock
Eliminate common dead stop lag issues
LOTS of under-the-hood changes and fixes

Unfortunately, the H'uru fork is divergent enough from Cyan's that it's taking us a bit of manual labor to get the license adjustment applied to our files. We'll have it together pretty quickly, though. Paradox is working on it.

Once that's done, there's a chance somebody might actually release a Max plugin for a newer version of 3DS. Keep an eye on http://forum.guildofwriters.org/viewforum.php?f=93 for any potential releases. I don't have any information on what the schedule might be for that - it depends entirely on who's feeling motivated this week

Whew! Finally!
Thanks to the efforts of many people, in particular but not limited to: Paradox, JWPlatt, Mac_Fife, Rarified, Hoikas, Branan and Luigi of the Free Software Foundation. And of course, Cyan Worlds Legal.

I have just checked in the updated open sources with the new license under the modified GPLv3 license that should allow open source development on MOULa to flow.
It is checked in at https://foundry.OpenUru.org/hg/CWE
and https://foundry.openuru.org/hg/MOULSCRIPT/

The elves will start propagating it to the many branches.
