Shorah all,

Another research road trip is in the works. I am aiming for the northwestern parts of New Mexico (the Four Corners area) and may even wander across the Colorado border and visit Mesa Verde; or Monument Valley in Arizona. Since we have an upcoming holiday here in the states (Memorial Day on Monday), a longer trip is within easy reach.

Halo Lisa,
De reunie is al geweest ongeveer twee weken geleden.
We hebben toen in de hood een spelletje triviant gespeeld.
Rednax, had de vragen samengesteld en e.e .a keurig voorbereid.
Helaas waren er die avond ook wat stabiliteitsproblemen.
Uiteindelijk waren we er allemaal uitgeknikkerd.
De reunie was in de mystfriends hood.
Hoewel iedereen welkom is waren er uitsluitend leden van het het mystfriends forum.
Allemaal mensen van het allereerste uur.
Niet zo gek want de datum was hier niet aangekondigd.
De meeste leden kijken hier namelijk nauwelijks meer, omdat ze allang andere dingen doen.
Ik ben een uitzondering omdat ik het leuk vind om ages te bouwen.
Ik hoop nog dit jaar nog mijn tweede age uit te brengen.
Helaas zijn er nog steeds geen mogelijkheden om fanages hier onder te brengen. De ages zijn wel te bekijken op de Deep Island Shard.
Ik hoop dat daar ooit verandering in komt en het daarmee voor een breder publiek toegangkelijk wordt.

Maar goed , ik zal is polsen op het forum of er belangstelling is voor een tweede ronde. (www.mystfriends.nl)
Uiteraard ben jij en alle andere belangstellenden dan ook welkom.

It's always a few more features, isn't it?

My original plan was to hack open a few genuine *ki* devices and add some components, so that they'd sync with my linking booklets. But I don't want to rely on Gahreesen access. Second plan: buy a bunch of iPod Touches and hack them... yeah, too expensive.

What I've got now is an Arduino controller, glued right into the back cover of the booklet. It runs a D'ni transform grammar that integrates with the "live" ink self-representation of the book pages. Presto: a dynamic status display! Shows your current Age, instance, and (as a bonus) who created the place. (By cross-link to the booklet of the writer. Obviously, all me at this point, but I've done some testing with aliased booklets.)

This will also serve for contact info, messages, etc, when I get to that stage. Pulling out a "tablet" to check this stuff isn't as cool as looking at the back of your hand. Sorry! But mass manufacture is more important at this point.

In other news, I've decided that Goldspring isn't the best gathering point for a new community. Too small! I've started clearing out a neighborhood district on the Cavern wall. I think it's a few centuries older than Bevin or Kirel, and the lamps don't work, but it's a nice space and we can probably clear more buildings if it gets crowded.

I'll keep using Goldspring as my personal study, and a library of my in-progress experiments.

I'm still hoping to start inviting people downstairs in early June. It's just a question of getting the district tidied up, and then finishing a couple of solid Ages to demonstrate the model.

I will add to Henry that your most recent log in your Log directory is called: Chat.0.txt. When you do record a new chatlog, it will be assigned to Chat.0.txt. The game is coded to increment your previous chatlog (from Chat.0.txt it will become Chat.1.txt). This incrementation process will go on for 4 logs: Chat.0, Chat.1, Chat.2, & Chat.3. If you do record a 5th chatlog, the 1st one recorded will automatically be deleted.

So, if something is recorded and need a serious attention from Cyan folks, it would be best if you would take time to rename your chatlog manually to give it a name like May 23, 2013 Incident.txt. This way, you freeze the chatlog forever on your PC until you manually delete it obviously.

Hello everyone,

Seems that the missing picture is hard to figure out. Many have solved the puzzle but the only thing missing is the F pic.
Looks like many are walking through the woods and no one is able to see the exit.

So, i will give another clue to 'ease the pain'
After all, this is just a logical game, nothing more.

When brightness fades out, the picture does the same.

Well, mine has broken. Connected last night to see in my KI that all my buddies were in Nexus or Tsogal, perhaps for a door run? Great, haven't had one of those for ages. But nobody answered when I sent PM's, and we later found that they could not see me on their KI at all. A strange and disorienting feeling, knowing your buddies are around but apparently won't talk to you.
