KI's frozen again. & I just got over a bad case of The Lady Marion Bug with the last server reboot too

At least it's back on its usual 2 weeks cycle and not bugging us 2 days after a server reset.

some explorers (including me) have again a frozen KI (did i say that today, URU is 2 years old and that it's not the right time to have issues?)

Back in the GameTap days, when Cyan were funded to provide "live help" in game, ResEngs would interact with the players, lead tours, etc., as well as look into problems. These days, there are far fewer of them and they'll only be online when they need to be as their duties will really lie "elsewhere" mostly.

Thank you Mac_Fife that answers my question. In other word, my whole point was: is he or not the real ResEng? You made it clear, he is the real one.

I saw him only three times and it was always when there was a KI issue so he must be there because of that afterall.

I was under the impression that a ResEng was a game support guy a little bit more interactive with explorers. The first time I saw him I introduced myself and welcomed him but I had no reply. That was the thing that made me thought of someone illegitimate.

At least, next time, I will know that he is a real ResEng and that he might not interact with explorers in Cavern. I will let him work then in peace.

Well, it is more frequent now more than ever considering the usual scheduled maintenance has been failing to resolve the problem for long. And by "it" and "long" I mean that within days of scheduled server downtime, the KI is back to being frozen and misappropriating avatars and their online and location status. And it has been as such for the last several maintenance periods, meaning URU has been broken for a majority of the time as of late since the issue became more difficult to clear up.

This is bad for business. I met a new eager explorer in the Greeters hood who was understandably concerned as to why his game interface didn't seem to be functioning correctly.

I would be among the last to have any clue why standard server maintenance has been failing to resolve the issue for long, but whatever the problem is should be eliminated sooner rather than later.
