This is brilliant! Thank you, everyone concerned. I hope this is good reason to boost the cavcon meter.

ETA Oh Wow! I've got the sparklie and watched the fireworks against the backdrop of lightning and thunder (without the raim). I love this game!

Congratulations to Cyan Worlds and to all those that worked so hard to make this happen over the past two years...I'm hoping that things are now more closely knit as a group and this can continue to work on a positive path....Kudos to all involved. Nicely done!

I've done this so many imes, (literally hundreds of Minky-Spark checks), that I just point my avie in the right direction. Turn on auto-run (heavy object on forward key), and wait until he stumbles into it!

No you won't have to redo all your sparklies, it will mean however that you have to find that kiva again in Minkata

You mean like a vault wipe where everyone has to remake their avatars and start fresh? Because I should think that wouldn't be at all necessary.

That's doubtful at this time since it still requires turning them on and off manually. Cyan will most likely leave them all on for now.

The issue has been solved once and for all.

It works on OpenUru.org's Minkata test shard. The code has been submitted to Cyan. When Cyan updates MOULa with the fixes, the sparklie will work on MOULa too.

Hello everyone,

Just a thought...
Does this sparklie ABSOLUTELY need to be in Minkata ?
It seems there is a major issue with this graphical object.

If Cyan put it there in the first place, they can make it appear elsewhere, can't they ?
This would solve the issue once and for all.

Suggestions...
Kirel, K'veer, one of the balconies in Ae`gura (access via Bahro stones), Kadish headquarters (pathway) in Ahnonay.

Well from what I recall hearing years ago, the sparks were designed to be limited edition items only offered once... Mainly showing what months the user was active in the first year, while the second year was supposed to have some other monthly collectable that replaced the sparks.

Rarified has a lot on his plate right now. I'm sure he'll get to changing the spark on the Minkata test shard as soon as he can.

You can pin some of the blame on me as well. Though I've put some effort into automating calender events such as spark changes, I stopped working on it when I discovered a shortcoming of the method I'm using (changes can't be pushed to a 'live' age... folks have to link out before the magic happens). If I can finishi that up, and rarified can vet it, then that will reduce the amount of manual maintenance that rarified has to do on the shard, and we should see planned changes occur on a more regular schedule.

As for the official MOULa server, my scripts would probably require extra work to incorporate, so that'll most certainly continue to be done in whatever way Cyan is taking care of it.
