I'm sorry, I may not have been clear: You always have to do the MOULa force-patch. The uninstall/reinstall only saves you from the actual manual copy of dat/.

First off: this is great, I'm excited and thankful for this new project.

Second: I'm getting an error running Gehn Shard under Wineskin. I followed the instructions on the Wiki and after creating my explorer an error prompt popped up that said I hadn't downloaded a necessary prp file. Now the game just black screens. If I go back and try this process again, what should I do differently?

It sounds like your MOULa was only partially-patched to 905 when you installed Gehn. This can happen if patching is interrupted partway through, due to the way the manifests are currently setup. I recommend deleting your MOULa TOS.txt file and allowing it to patch completely, then manually copying your MOULa dat/ folder over to Gehn. That should clear this up.

If you'd rather not copy files manually, you can uninstall and reinstall Gehn after your MOULa is patched. It will grab the updated files for you.

I am getting errors telling me about missing texture files.

First when I went for my KI, then when I went to the desert. Neither age loaded, instead I got the error.

Ideas?

Exact error reads;

Download Failed: dat/Cleft_District_Textures.prp not found

Similar error for Gahreshan.

I am able to get to relto, and even combo jump, but nowhere else. Did I misread the instructions? All this within the last hour, including download and install.

Yeah, don't stop trying, friends, it's absolutely worth it ...

Like last week on the Minkata Shard we've had many crashes and
much much fun until everything stabilized again and there was great
Live music by our Rhee, she's a real genius and entertainer, and adi's
music was very special and uplifting as well (still listening) ...

There have definitely been some stability issues. Things seem OK now, so if anybody was having trouble earlier I'd encourage you to try again.

Something I noticed when login seems to be taking too long - I minimize the screen to the taskbar and boom, I'm in. Weird but true.

The login problem is back...

I'm waiting for my Gehn login to complete as I write but it's already been at least 10 minutes with no change... the same symptoms I ran into earlier. It gets me to wondering if Gehn has trouble with traffic load when things are busy there.

Anyway, just in case it helps other folks, I am able to get through the update process fine but get stuck with the actual login.

Looks like I'll have to miss this party (waaah )

I'm sure everyone else will have tons of fun without me!

Today, I am able to log in to Gehn without problems. So I guess my troubles yesterday were a fluke.

I will be there at the party tomorrow!!! Whoop!!

Thanks a bazillion for the wonderful Mac instructions!!

As far as I can tell, everything installed nicely on my MacBook Pro, however, when I start the logon process to Gehn, the interface remains busy for several minutes but then finally errors out with a message about no response from server. This has happened multiple times so far and I've been unable to figure out if there is a problem on my end or if I caught Gehn at a bad moment... This would have been earlier today between about noon and 1:00 p.m. KI time/Cavern time. And I double- and triple-checked that I was using my current GoW username/password and logged out and in at the GoW several times, all to no avail.

(BTW, I also posted this issue at the GoW thread before I saw your post here.)

Any suggestions or assistance would be deeply appreciated!
