Huh? I changed the date back to the 16th. If you still can't do this then that's fine I will leave this here and see if someone else can, if no one can, at least I will be able to make a recoding and turn it into a YouTube video for people to watch later.

Seeing the changed date of the event, I may not be able to do it. If it were this week, it would probably work out, but I don't trust my school's network enough to do something like this

Great! The Mumble server is GuildOfWriters.org, so you may have to speak to Adam when planing the relay server.

Looking at what Tai said, it should definitely be possible to take people humming and redirect it to something like Shoutcast or Icecast. I know I certainly have the capability of doing this on a small scale (I can't remember the max number of listeners I've managed to have, but if I can find a relay server we should be all set).

FOSS, eh? That's a big advantage right there , I think Mumble is what I will go for but use of the client will be optional for the event.

Mumble is also much easier to configure on the server-side. It's FOSS as well, so you don't have to worry about evil restrictive licenses (like in TeamSpeak). I converted over to Mumble on my server when I lost my TS free guild license key (where did that thing get to?) and haven't looked back.

Mumble is pretty good. Everyone sounds clear and you can record conversations for later if you want to share. Like if you do podcasts for example.

When I run the event I actually want people to have the option of humming the theme out lod but I don't want to use the in-game voice chat for I heard it gets slow with crads of ppl.

There are many different options, most of which are fairly decent. You'll find they all have their useful niches, and the people who support them. Sadly, any discussion on preferred voice chat usually ends up as chaotic.

To get better suggestions to answer your question, you'll probably need to be more specific. What kinds of group meetings? Do you need more than simply voice chat, such as screen sharing, or in-game integration, etc?

I am takeing suggestions for external voice chat programs for group meetings(I am mainly thinking of MOUla), what does the community think a good solution is. I am looking for something free.
