Thank you very much schmood and all the others who took time to answer here or show me respect or friendship toward me on server.

I'll be back soon. I'm still waiting for the skydivers' build except I know why it is long and I don't want to enter into a debate, I asked the person who will build it directly so no misunderstanding, someone told me this or that... I know what takes time and it's ok.

Patience is what we need. The more I read about the built 1.918, the more I'm becoming a stranger. Funny how people on the forum almost unanimously like the improvements in general (that's fine) but also the physics ones (which is very weird). Most of my buddies, apart some of them like HenryMikel who I respect on another level, dislike them...Well maybe URU isn't a single community afterall. Some explorers told me there were always conflicts within the community and this is not gonna end in 2013...Oh & BTW...if you think I'm stubborn and I'm not even trying the build 1.918... ... even if you played on URU since the release of the new build 24h a day 7 days a week...you are still far from the time I spent on testing it , it is released since 7 months at least... and my rants are only toward the physics changes not the rest

My quests will be soon available through Magic Bot & Mimi Bot. I have other things to take care on surface for now so...sending my quests to the bots isn't a priority. I will send notice on the forum when they will be all transferred.

During the early days of the Restoration. I believe it was the 98-2002 era, several videos were taken depicting now closed off area's of the Shaft. Unfortunately the videos of this area have long since vanished. Perhaps someone will pop up eventually with a copy to share. However a snap shot of the river and bridge can be found here:

Sorry to take this OOC but I'd suggest to anyone that wants more information on some of these areas to check out this thread from a few years ago. Cyan Unreleased Content. It's very informative. There's many threads like this one out there, you just need to be persistent when looking for information about the early Uru era.

I use Dropbox all the time to post pics, so here is Alien's Quickie Guide To Posting Pics With Dropbox
1) Put your pictures in the public folder (in sub folders if you want, as long as you can find them)
2) Go to your Dropbox online
3) Navigate online to your picture in the public folder
4) right-click on the picture file and select "Copy Public Link" and click on the "Copy to clipboard" button that pops up
5) Go to your post on the forum, paste the link in, wrap it in [img] tags

and that's it (you might want to wrap the link + [img] tags in spolier tags)

This topic has been discussed off and on since explorers were allowed in and I believe progress has been made over the years in ascertaining the nature of the district that we are allowed to explore. Discussions of individual buildings are affected by each explorer's definition of the overall purposes of the district.

I want to get this thread started to redirect from the Hall of Kings thread so I'm going to be very brief initially but return later with more detail.

My belief is that the area we have access to is like a Roman forum or a Cathedral compound in that it combines religious, cultural and administrative functions. I don't think any of the buildings are residential and commercial activity was minimal.
We know there were other residential and commercial areas on the island and of course the City Proper on/in the cavern walls.

Every mentor is preparing for the time when the "kids" will be able to cope on their own. That's not to say that they won't be needed or missed, just that things won't completely fall apart while the kids get used to not having that constant support and guiding wisdom.

I finally got back to that area of the secret tunnel. I find that the Library stairs going down go down a lot farther than I first suspected, so I am beginning to wonder if the "secret tunnel" and the Library have a connection or is connected in some way physically we can not see. No pictures this time and it was just to dark down that far to be able to tell where I was at exactly, I am thinking I was close to the same level as that "secret tunnel".
