The Eder Gira eagle is flying over a black empty space
between the accessible area and the back canvas.

An image will tell it all...

Note that the huts panels are repeated all around the accessible area.

Well, the fact that there's some large bird circling over the back of Eder Gira makes me wonder just how 2d it is. But I actually meant that as a separate thought, and probably should have used another paragraph.

It would be technically possible to aquire the realMyst ages from their current form, however, not in a very 'playable' state.

I'd also like to see some Max models and I really hope Cyan will release them and let us work on some of them, however, I doubt they will.

Yes, but whether the backdrop is 2d or not is moot, it could stay 2d and when you link to outer Gira you'd end up in a subworld or something.

Or in the case of D'ni the city is 2d but you link to it with the hood book, then the rest of the city is again 2d (cept the low poly model of Ae'gura in the distance).

I do not remember any regular member who has been able to makes its way to the
back at Eder Gira. (unless someone had access to a computer while visiting Cyan ???)

That's true, but expanding Gira for that not to be a flat 2D canvas any more was at one point planned. I think TOOO overestimates the development stage of that, however.
