Just be VERY GLAD that Cyan has put in the 'Corner Stone' as in getting us all back in the cavern again.
these smaller bugs I think The Guilds could go through and fix for us once Cyan releases the code OR
gives permission to the Guilds.so they can make changes and fixes.

It happens randomly - it seem like a sort of de-synchronization between the players lists and the actual players in the game. I've also seen other symptoms: Players remaining on the age list long after they quit; chat messages with the wrong player name next to them; player names flashing very briefly onto the age list, then disappearing again. Not much that can be done - Cyan have said that they don't really have any programmer's time that they can commit to fixing bugs right now.

i remember that bug from before, too. i don't think there was enough time to figure out what circumstances caused it before things were shut down.

sometimes just going back to relto and then to the hood again clears it out. sometimes you need to log out and back in again.

i agree, it's frustrating!! had the problem last night myself with a couple of people...

It's a known bug from MOUL.. not sure what triggers it. I think population as in too many people and it happens.

Logging out and back in will always seem to fix it. It also screws up trying to 'buddy' people when it happens.. very annoying.

I had that problem earlier. I got online finally last night and met my friend Donahoo (we were both in the same hood), and I added her and another neighbor to my buddy list. This evening, I launched the game from my Start menu, logged in and completed my Cleft, and was in Teledahn when Donahoo sent me a chat. I wasn't able to reply because she wasn't showing up on the left-side list at all (buddy or neighbor). I tried /reply but got error saying she was offline. Also opening my KI and looking at her name showed as offline. We met at the hood, and even standing in front of her, she was still not showing up on any list. The other neighbor arrived and his name was not any list...although there were three other names on my neighbor list, she said she had seven names on hers. I was showing up on their buddy & neighbor list just fine. So I quit the game, then re-launched it (this time from the desktop icon), and everything was back to normal. So not sure if it was the Start menu vs. the desktop icon, or just an odd glitch that I needed to log off and back on.

Sometimes an explorer who's definitely in-cavern (I know s/he's in-cavern because s/he's sending me texts) shows up on my KI as "offline." As a result, I can't send him/her a text. Just FYI to Cyan.
