ok so what is the text finally? And by the way, if b + a = n + a = c, b = n but c = n + 1, not n - 1

this puzzles not complete. you've completed the first stage there's actually a whole island worth of puzzles left out there for you to solve.

Er, there's a problem guys. The earlier clue said that b = n. That means that n = 4, and c = 3.

this is only correct if "n" is the letter n... and it was said b+a = n+ a = c or b = n = c - a -> b(4) = n = c(5) - a(1)
i agree the meaning of n is missing and the numbers 381 and 1814 are not fitting in this series, but the result seems logical enough to me...
