In short, Graeme Devine and Rob Landeros (co founders of Trilobyte) ran into money management issues and the compony went under in a hurry. The full story is worth a read if you have the time.

Man, The 7th Gues and The 11th Hour were awsome games . They would have probobly been rated M (or higher) if they were released today though...

I wonder if my game disks still work...maybe I'll set up a Virtual PC with DOS 6.22 or Windows 95 so I can play through them again (Yay Microsoft for making Virtual PC 2004 free!).

I remember that! That was a funky game. I actually played it's prequel, &th Guest, before I played Myst. I still remember the theme song... "I can't take a step, without seeing Mr. Death..."

actually, no I don't. but I found somethin' kinda cool...

yea so, I was playing that old The 11th hour game when I ran across what looked like a Myst guid.
