Just speculating as to the reason of no forums and it seems obvious to me that the DRC site (www.drcsite.org) should be completely IC and having forums would make that quite difficult. Besides, this and other forums exist already, so an additional one probably wouldn't add much and might even be seen as a detriment.

Oh, the tab is grayed out now, but with a proper log in code... But you'd have to get that from a ResEng...

I sure wish Cate had addressed this point. This would be the third lost Cyan-related archive of valuable historical information, and worse, it would be the first over which Cyan had complete autonomy, and therefore the loss could easily be avoided. If Cyan instead chooses to throw that information away, I have some serious questions about its commitment to this so-called community. You can't just wish history, good or bad, away.

As I said, if this loss in fact becomes reality - my judgment stands in abeyance until the future is revealed.

Well, we need a strictly IC forum here then.

Anyway, I would not be surprised if we eventually saw those private forums - I'd bet good money that at some point we'll come across a ResEng's notebook or something that contains a valid username and password, granting us access to a read-only fake "forum" containing some helpful information.
That's entirely speculation on my part, but you heard it here first.

I don't really care about the forums but the C.O. Meter should be available somehow. It was really interesting reading it.

I hope there's some sort of "hacking" like there was with Zandi that'll get us back into the forums. The DRC forums are an excellent resource for finding out little things the DRC is doing. They need to keep this..
