Librarian: "I'm sorry. Before I can give you a library card I must see a picture ID, and if it doesn't have your street address, you must have some mail with it on it. You can only check out up to three ages, and they are due back in two weeks. They can be renewed once, if they are not on reserve for another explorer." Laughing

Oh, ok feeling better now that I know your not really interested in a museum your just page obsessed like the rest of us. Remind me which one was it again it's been such a long time since I played CC. Wink

While keeping SDKPhoenix company at the museum door I thumb thru the three age books I checked out, and link out every now and then. Oddly SDKPhoenix never stops pounding on the door long enough to notice I've been replaced by a stack of books. Laughing

Will not Razz

All of our museums put together are only a pale comparison to a D'ni library.

But yeah since it's all we have to get up close with usually they are nice to have.

Heh, they had a different focus. I like ours just fine. I might be wrong, but from here it looks like the D'ni were a bit myopic - short-sighted. Not always terribly interested in the world around them at times (which is not to say that we aren't the same way, but at least our museums have enough space for all the different obsessed types in the world).

Razz Laughing You didn't read the fine print did you! Laughing Razz

I try to be as wide open on my obsessions as possible, and yes museums are good for that. It's just my local library gets updated way more often then my local museum.

I'm really enjoying the library, as small as it is. It's easily my favorite part of the city now - just walking around the top floor, enjoying the music, listening to the doors open and close, and watching people reading the notebooks and walking up and down the stairs - it's a very good atmosphere. I've made plans to spend a good deal of time hanging out there this afternoon.

Now if only they could get the doors fixed. They have a nasty habit of getting stuck closed.

Remember that the Museum is the one with the books and the Library is the one with the history texts. Laughing
