I think in the next week we're going to see a HUGE upswing in player-planned events of all kinds, to enact all sorts of different story goals. There may be multiple such events going on each day. As a player you'll have to choose which one to attend; which one you think will most likely achieve something, or which one you most want to happen.

I am maybe beginning to see how player participation is supposed to work. Smile

It's been nearly two hours and I'm still shaking... I didn't get to see Yeesha appear as I'd gone to Eder Delin with ireen and Vort and Thend and several others... but I got a PM right away and wow.

I guess it does pay off to poke the story with a stick. Shocked

Think about something. We did this with no greater purpose than to see if Yeesha would respond. We wanted to know if she was still out there, and still watching us.

I'd say that's been pretty well confirmed. Not only is she still watching, she heard us. And she responded.

Now, what if we were to do this again, but with another purpose in mind? Perhaps to learn more from her about things to come?

Would it work again?

I've been thinking about that-- about whether Yeesha didn't say or do more because she chose not to, or because she was prevented to.

The experience felt a lot like seeing a ghost. Without moving or saying anything, and with that weird static, Yeesha seemed very... alien, inhuman. I became distinctly aware of how much power she actually has now... and wonder whether it's changed her over the last few years.

The one thing we do know about Yeesha is that she works in mysterious ways. She's seldom direct and to the point, and I think she really does want us to figure things out for ourselves. That's the whole point of the Journey, really. I would interpret this as her not wanting to speak to us, rather than being prevented from doing so. Lots of people have been expressing doubts that Yeesha is still around, I think she just wanted to show us that yes, she is. It's her way of telling us not to lose faith, that the Journey is still ongoing, and that we need to be looking for more signs, more clues.

That she appeared in the middle of the fountain. In the center of where we had created our spiral!

That seems significant to me.

If she _was_ somehow restricted from communicating as fully as she wanted to... that may have been the only way she had to thank us.

Maby it is a sort of "URU Live has now begun". My thinking is that though the new Eder is nice, it dosn't realy do anything for the storyline. In fact, I was expecting a Barho or some DRC person to randomly apear sence Live oficaly came out last Thursday.
