Hello all

Before relating to you what I saw, let me say this:
1. I have no tangible evidence to back this claim up (screenshots, FRAPS recordings etc.)
2. I am a new player, and as such not knowledgeable about the D'ni or the Myst universe beyond what playing the games have taught me
3. My intentions are for the good of the game and our common task to propel the story forward

That being said, this is what I saw. Use it as you see fit.

I had just helped out with the Tsogal puzzle, and had made my way to the cave. Naturally, I was overjoyed to have finally reached it, and after scanning the location saw its layout in two ledges separated by a chasm. At my first look at the other ledge, I saw a person standing there. I briefly turned around and saw the spiral on the wall. I remember thinking 'Oh another cooperation puzzle' and turned back towards the other ledge. The person was no longer there at that point.
It all happened so fast, I didn't get a good look. all I seem to remember is that the person was very slim.
I then proceeded to press the symbol on my side. After a failed attempt to jump the chasm, I fell in and was transported back to my relto.

That's all.

It might have been a glitch or something. But I'm quite sure of what I saw. Has anybody else experienced anything like this?

Unfortunatly, it does sound to me like a known glitch that admittedly we haven't heard of for a while.

Sometimes when you link to a different age, empty 'shells' of avatars around you will come to. For example, it used to be that if you linked to Relto from the city you'd sometimes get a shell on your Relto too. Quite creepy, as they just stand there and stare at you. More ammusing is when they miss the island, so you link and get the spectacle of raining men Laughing!

I could be wrong, but this sounds to me like another manifestation of this bug.

You should most definitely send a bug report for this.

If it is a story line, you may hear back just that from the techies Wink
