As Myst Online moves into a new direction, I would like to open a thread discussing the changes with you. Turner, GameTap and Cyan Worlds are thrilled for the new direction. We hope you will share in this excitement.

Very smart and necessary move! Sure we lose the realtime feel, but we get a lot back I believe. Thank you Cyan for staying on top of things and wanting to innovate and make things better!

Sad thing though... I'll be on holiday from tomorrow on and will miss the first episode Sad Wink

Wow.

I'm good with it. :3 It'd be nice if little twinkly bits of interaction and dabs of this and that (similar to the Creation story released in bits) could come in the meantime between the story 'waves' - just to keep tabs on the DRC and ask questions and suchlike - but ooh, so curious about what's going to happen!!

I hope this works out well for Uru. ^^ *throws cookies at Cyan*

I think the change will be mostly for the benefit of MO:UL, but boy, the Cavern is going to be lagged on the release days... Shocked

Looking forward to the 1st episode already.

Hmm.... I think I like it! Very Happy

This will give everyone something to look forward to and work on throughout the month... rather than quickly logging in... grabbing a 2 minute 'whatever', then thinking: 'Is that all there is?'... and hopefully will stop the endless complaining about not having anything to do.

So if we miss the big Update on May 19th, does it mean we will miss all the stuff in the update?

What I'm meaning is: If I log in on the 20th instead, will I get the same content that I would get on the 19th?

I think this is an EXCELLENT idea. Kudos and many claps to Cyan. I can finally organise my schedule around MO:UL again! I sincerely hope this works. It'll be like an interative TV show!

I am for it 100%. I think Cyan is doing a great job with URU and I hope you keep up the good work.

My only question how will NPC interaction be handled for the various time zones we all live in?
