That wouldn't fit with the "Yeesha helped Kadish see the error of his ways" scenario. Kadish seems too calculating to have left bits of a note he didn't like lying around, so I'm guessing Yeesha tore it up herself.

It's at least two notes, and judging by content I'd say its the first and the third, and then the second and fourth. If I had to guess, I'd also say there's some text in the middle missing. The first note (1+3) would then read about how Yeesha saved his life, and the second (2+4) about her power as the Grower.

Actually, now that I look at them, they appear to be four separate notes, as her symbol is in different places in each one. As to why only those bits? I have no idea.

And yes, it is "move". My mistake. Looking at the mystery word in the first scraps it now reads "conquered". The appropriate changes have been made.

But where does the number of 4 different pieces fit in this theory? Was there anything "4"-related to Kadish Tolesa?

Not to my knowledge, its just that there are four scraps of paper in the vault, and none of them appear to be able to go together (I could see a connection with the short piece about saving his life connected to another, but the rest all have Yeesha symbols in different places. That, and the fact that there are 2 tops and 2 bottoms, hence my original theory of 2 pages instead of one)

Someone once wrote in another forum (I'm sorry, I don't remember where) that the handwriting font is the same one seen in Catherine's writing in Riven. Just something I remember reading...

That's true, the handwriting on the note is the same as that in Riven. I once had this whole theory about how Catherine had drawn the bahroglyphs and written the fireflies into Eder Kemo...

I think the questionaire topic was there because yes they plan on having it for default Live, as they are fully operational ages in Uru already... but there is a legal problem complicating it to do with Ubi Soft owning publishing rights.

Is that the case?

Those are definitley Yeesha's journals...not catherine's. Her handwritings probably the same because she's her daughter you know Wink

And we find more of the same style of pages and writing in Myst V EOA.

So I really think (despite the RW Technological aspects of different instances and such) that they are two different versions of the same world, one were Yeesha helps Kadish out (which in that case he might make it into Uru Live Surprised

) and the other were he died.

And I thought that the stairways were simply there so that Cyan didn't have to make all the changes to Tolesa that Yeesha and Kadish might have made in the changed state-a barrier. And does anyone remember if you can still see the bahro cave in the "Yeesha" version of Tolesa?

Cyan originally had a contract with Ubisoft till (or through) 2008. Cyans' new partnership with Turner couldn't have happened without Ubisoft truncating their contract on good terms, which is what I think happened.
