The issues of creating a forum, using a domain name, or planning a voting strategy will have long term effects on the GOM. It is my hope that no one will call for the creation of a "supervising" council so early in the process. There are a number of issues that need to be worked out, before we can even begin to presume to know, who is best to caretake the "keys" to the GOM. In my experience the "keys" are held by those who hold dominion over the forum and website, where information will be posted there at the "owner's" (admin group) discretion.
Because there are so many groups interested in forming or being a part of the GOM, it is even more important that we carefully watch for
quick fix solutions that may cause long-term issues for the guild.
I do not believe that a majority vote, or any vote for any reason at this time is warranted. I think further discussion and lots of sorting out in the open (sunshine) is preferred by many of us, who have seen first hand how things work out for good or not-so-good.
I guess my question is: What's the rush? Cyan has set up a perfectly good forum area for all of us to work details out. While it always seems that the big decisions are the ones that count, its the little ones that can cause tiny snags and big rips.
I do want to thank everyone who has posted in this thread for being honest, because it helps to know where other explorers
"are" when it comes to the development of the GOM. As an independent explorer, who is on the CCN team, I would like to call for a calm decision process to take place,
and nothing yet to be decided.
I am not dead set against anything. I am dead set to consider reasonable approaches for a resolution that includes
all the various communication groups in the cavern.

EDIT - It may be that many explorers have domain names ready to be activated. It could be that activation of domain name should be a very thoughtful, carefully considered process.
