I think Cyan needs to declare soon how it will be distributed to international people and how to pay for it and all that.. It's like they are putting everyone from the US up front we should be equal in a game like this.. It's not fair..

The promo really made it sound like it was clear thet it was only on gametap..

I suggest you wait for the facts you are asking for before getting needlessly upset. Cyan has stated its intent to offer Uru Live to everyone equally no matter where they live, both on GameTap and in its own global space. Considering all that has transpired in the last two or three years, I would put my trust in the good faith Cyan has unswervingly demonstrated. I would question exactly what GameTap means by "exclusively" before I would question Cyan's word.

Cyan is the kind of company that would rip apart at the the mention of taking a choice of taking a decision.

And yet, they have taken such decisions.

And I for one, agree with them.

I'm going to take that Waterfall ride.

Cyan has said over and over and over that this will be for everyone, no matter where they live. Not that they hope it will. It will. And we need to trust them on it.

Can anyone tell what age is showen at 0:19 in the vid, I cannot make it out.

Scratch my last. Just ran it slowly and noticed that its the bottom of the Cleft.

Agreeing with the people who have posted above ... I am not overly suprised that a trailer on Gametap only mentions Gametap ... but Cyan have said 'international'.

And everything I've seen from them encourages me to trust that .

I saw that video twice. If there was an anomoly, it might've been the 'pod' Age Neghilan shown in the original old "What's Uru Live" trailer.

Yeah, Gametap is going to promote themselves, that's what publishers do. It's normal. Cyan is going to be the 'variable' publisher. That is, they hit everyone else.

There could be an early exclusivity clause, like for the first X months, Gametap gets the US market all to itself, and then it can be released through other means.

In the US, we most likely will only be able to access Uru Live through GameTap, so the advertisment doesn't lie to its intended audience. Outside of the US, expect different rules to apply.

Well said, Marten. That's really what I meant above, but you wrote it better. Cyan has said Uru Live will be available in its own space for international subscribers. A tmcnet.com article writes, "[Rand] Miller said Cyan has the option of developing a version that would be available to overseas users who didn't want to use GameTap."
