Rats and I thought I found a loop hole.................hay wait a minute you don't need the Knowledge of everything, just an idea of anything that can go wrong in one particular situation. Like if you where to sit down and think hmm what could possibly go wrong in the goal I am trying to achieve and then make allowances for them. Combined with someone imaginative enough to come up with a solution for what you did not anticipate. Kinda like a chess game where your trying to anticipate all the moves your opponents might make and think up a counter move for them, so no matter what he does you got him covered.

I like your thinking Karkadann!

I like to imagine "what if's" , in case anything does go wrong, well, with any situation, really.

I make up plans A, B, and then even C. And of course pre-planning never seems to provide a pre-solution, just good intentions. But for me, at least, it seems to help me make up the plan that will work....Plan D!

The only bad side effect of this imagining Plans A and Plan B, etc, is that I can sometimes overpack a bit for a trip, and sometimes I keep things around the house longer than I need to.
(And no, I am not the woman on the airplane with 3 bags and 2 carry-ons. I'm the woman with one bag and a small carry-on, because if I didn't plan for all those contingencies, I would only have one very small bag, and no carry on at all. Smile )

:- )

one thing I did not mention is, having taken into consideration anything that can go wrong in one specific situation and trying to make allowances or come up with solutions for them takes a great deal of effort. Having left nothing to chance and made extensive preparations, the worst possible scenario is all your preparations are for not.

I believe Murphy's law suggest that the worst possible scenario will unfold to your disadvantage (forgot how to spell
ak-ker), so make the worst possible scenario work to your advantage

All in all We or Cyan MUST learn everything about the NEW phyX engine or eles
MORE can not be born!

I'm always looking at the game from a normal explorers view, Typical game player who
has no knowlage of programming etc. and 'in game' machanics (objects, npcs) you eneract with
to get everything 'DONE' ie; gz marker calabration, Yeesha cloths and pages, levers, buttons,
Bahro npcs could be teachers, watchers, compainions, enemies, another race we will have to learn to co-exist with...etc.etc. I feel so strongly MORE needs this ineraction etc. 'in game' and have been
racking my brain for a way it could be done. ( The actual 'in game' Guild Hall ) With the ' mechanics'.
Lets take our instanced Hood Cities and create and open up some Explorer D'ni Shops with a
line of old and new objects we can now use or wear to help aid you in the new ages etc.

Realisem and game Emmersion are my pet peeVs.

If we are to Grow, we must look at it from ALL sides, compatability, expanability, and 'in game' machanics and gui. and not just 'behind the scenes' age creation etc. there are 17 other
Guilds or is that 18? What about them and 'in game' machanics ?
I guess I wonder just how much Cyan is going to contribute to this MOST urgent problem.

Also with the fact that we can not use any existing Cyan objects or textures, Have any kind of tie in
to 'canon' story and charactors. ( big turn off ) and that IS WHAT IMHO ALOT WANT TO DO!
to some degree shape or form. I have posted some suggestions in another thread on this,
I won't repeat here.

Remember in MOUL Laxman tried to install the pellet and alge level device? (game machanics)
which did not work! also why the gareseen Wall game was never empleminted and the age of
Kahlo and our avys being able to actualy ' Jump' did not work either. AND THIS was with the
NEW phyX engine!!! as why I stated to go back to the old working engine, Heavy sigh' only
could hold 10 people at a time. Crying or Very sad

Yes I'm a little more than worried. 'Links back to his Relto on TpotS' and kicks around sticks
and jumps like a wild man about the bahro totems!

I think it's the end of an era. Let's hope I'm wrong!
