I was at GenCon (large gaming convention) in Indianapolis earlier in the month, and included in the Bag o' Free Stuff was the first issue of a new magazine, Massive Gamer. It claims to cover all MMO games, although about 50% of the issue seemed to be about Age of Conan, which makes me doubt its journalistic independence.
Anyway, there was an article called "Massive Ticker", which is sort of a "Cheers and Jeers" for the online gaming industry. In the "Up" category was this blurb about Cyan Worlds:
Cyan Worlds
Let's give a round of applause for Cyan, who receives this month's "coming back from the dead" award. In February, they announced they were shutting down Myst Online: Uru Live on the online game distribution service GameTap. They're back, folks. Charging about $25 for six months of service, Cyan Worlds is making sure Myst Online is an attractive proposition -- and is ensuring they're keeping their most visible intellectual property operational.
Nothing new there, but it's nice to see the word get out about MORE.
