Shorah fellow Maintainers and Explorers!

The Guild of Maintainers website will be undergoing maintenance on Tuesday, December 23, 2008. The server will be offline periodically throughout the day while I install updates, clean the box, and do some general maintenance. Please do no be alarmed if you are unable to reach the site or Forum during the day. I will make an announcement when maintenance has been completed.

Thank you for your patience and understanding!

Front end maintenance is complete. I will continue to work tomorrow behind the scenes but this should not cause any further interruptions to site performance.

Thanks for your patience everyone.

It's a shame that someone at least tried to hacked into the Guild of Maintainer site. Evil or Very Mad I hope the site will reopen soon.

Yes, Nyn especially could have done without this extra hassle. We're very grateful for the help and support we're getting from knowledgeable individuals in the Uru community.

The forums and wiki are up, as is the chat room.

Most of the information that was on the website is available on the wiki or in the forums.

I'll be working on a simple replacement of the webpages over the next few days or so.

GoMa website seems to be off again. Not really off because I don't get a "Impossible to reach the server" message...I just get a blank page and the browser says "complete".
Is this happening to others too?
Any GoMa GM around here?

The best thing to do if the site seems to be down is to send any of the GMs, especially Nyn or myself, a pm via the GoW or OpenUru sites, both of which send out email alerts.

Thanks.

By the way, it was a simple hardware problem. The site is back up. Smile

[Edited to explain the outage, and to add how to contact the GMs]

Well the site seems to be back down again, I am beginning to think the gremlins need to be bug bombed or at least hit really hard with a rolled up newspaper. Laughing

This is beginning to get ridiculous..........

I've just heard from Nynaveve. As some of you may know, the ISP concerned has not been providing the best quality of service, much to Nynaveve's frustration and despite her pushing for improvements.

Today the modem that has been causing many of the recent outages finally bit the dust. Nynaveve is chasing her ISP to provide the fix. Once that is sorted, the GoMa site and forums will be restored as soon as possible.

Apologies to all.

In the meantime, if you are having problems with using the ULM, for example, do pm any of us and we will try to help.

Hi ya'll --

Reporting in from church. Wink My new modem will be in my hands sometime Monday afternoon (Pacific Time). I will bring things back online as soon as possible. My apologies for all this; apparently the modem manufacturer sent out a bad batch of modems and so they did a recall. Of course, mine was in the bad batch, and for whatever reason my idiot ISP decided not to be proactive about sending out new modems. So I had to wait for mine to die before I got a new one. Rolling Eyes At any rate, this should solve the intermittent problems of up and down.

Thanks for your patience!!

-Nyn
