Hi there. I'm new to the forums here, but i am an avid myst fan. I remember playing myst when i was around 8 years old. I didn't really have the mental capacity for the more intricate puzzles, but now, looking back, i really did get quite far as an 8 year old. I remember travelling in the Mechanical age aswell as the Selenica age. So i must have figured out some puzzles hehe.
Anyway, as to the bugs i've found.
1) Even if you haven't returned a single page to either the red or blue book, when you place the 'final' page into a book, it counts as though all of the pages were returned. It loads the cut scene and the game finishes.
2) There are some lag issues in D'ni (spelling?) with Atrus. I feel the game freeze and load again after 10 or so seconds sometimes.
3) There are also two orientation glitches in the Maze. One has been mentioned on the forums in detail. The one where you get trapped and cannot escape. The other one i've found doesn't cause you to be trapped but you still cannot back track. I've included a picture of the maze bug positions.
That's all i've found. Myst is an amazing game. And i must say that i am proud to say i've completed it without walkthroughs. What an amazing experience.
I am really interested in this Myst Online. I missed the boat it seems, but i'd LOVE to see it come back. It sounds amazing, I really hope it eventuates.
