I want to use 2 computers and avatars at the same time. Do I need to create 2 separate accounts to do this?

Yes. While each account can have up to 5 avatars, you can only log into the account from one location at a time if memory serves, so to play from 2 computers at once, you'll need a second account.

Thanks.

Do I need to use a different email address for each account?

Since your account name is your email address, yes, you'll need a second email address for an additional account.

Thanks.

Needing a second email address is definitely a pain.

If you're using gmail, you can use the same address by using a pseudo-alias. For instance:

if your address is jane.doe@gmail.com, you could use jane.doe+uruprimary@gmail.com and jane.doe+urusecondary@gmail.com (or whatever strikes your fancy).

If you're not using gmail, check with your provider to see if they allow similar aliasing.

This way it's the same address, but is a different Uru account name (assuming the account system doesn't choke on the plus sign).

Also with gmail, dots are optional and filtered out. so with the "jane.doe@gmail.com" example, email sent to jane.doe@, ja.nedoe@ j.a.n.e.d.o.e@, etc. should all resolve back to the same gmail account. Just remember what you used when you signed up.

Originally, there were some problems with the signup system rejecting email addresses containing some characters that should have been allowed under RFC 5336. This was brought to Cyan's attention, and I believe it now works correctly. Very Happy

Yeah, that's what I was thinking of. Wasn't sure if it had been resolved. Thanks for the info!
