Okay, I'm a veteran of Uru:CC, and MOUL as many of you know. I've been in the city countless times, but never have I observed this (I went back into CC and checked, and it's not there).

I took KI pics, but, down at the docks, one of the boats is being lit by light. The source of the light seems to be from the lake itself, due to how the shadows on the boat look. Better yet, the lights move and fade, over and over. They start lighting up the boat at the Stern and move to the Bow, then fade out. I showed my wife, and she also swears that was NOT in MOUL.

I'll post pics when I can.

These are one of those things that can be turned on/off, like the mysterious boat that can be seen from the hood. It's supposed to represent scuba diving resengs working on the restoration of the sunken boats... I guess it wasn't on in MOUL because they (Cyan/DRC, whatever) weren't working on the sunken vessels

Whoa! How do you know that JP? I don't doubt you, but that's really interesting. That would've been a storyline I would've loved--much more so than Nick White or even some of the Pod business.

I guess Cyan just tried to turn on everything short of Bahro encounters (though I've heard they missed something, what exactly it was escapes me now). I don't know if they did that just for convenience, or because it was simple. It kind of disappoints me that we can get all the sparklies right now... I really liked using them as a display of how many months I'd been in the cavern. Maybe I'll try to restrict myself to one sparklie a month.

It would've been so neat if they had raised the sunken boat and let us explore it, maybe had a linking book inside (after it was dried out!). If Cyan does work on any more ages, can this be top of the list or something?

those lights have been there since Prologue if i recall. you can turn them on in ABM with a trainer and stuff. and like JP said they're underwater ResEng's working on the boats... don't ask me when/where i learned this but i'm pretty sure it came from the Horses Mouth itself. but seeing as i've been in this game for almost 7 years i couldn't refrence the exact quote to yah even if i wanted too... wait... even if you asked me too. xD

Yeah, it's one of those things toggleable like the smoke from the guild hall, the hammering and working sounds, barricades, etc.

It's usually just not turned on though... not like it changes anything, they never DID do anything to the boats Confused

If there a several lights and they are moving, then this is indeed different from former MOUL. It used to be just a single steady light. But we did get some IC information about these lights: Check the chatlog of Nick White's visit in Ae'gura in January 2007 in which he explains what this light by the dock is.

The divers are also mentioned in Dr. Watson's speech in Kirel in the To D'ni expansion.

There were definitely lights in MOUL, but I agree, I don't remember them moving; as I recall, it was just a single light that faded in and out. Since they've turned everything on, these might be some extras that we didn't see before.
