I was downloading an old Ultra Pinball game I loved and never thought I'd see again, when low and behold I saw an ad proclaiming the Return of URU Live. It was mixed up in all the other adds they run while you're downloading. It is very well done and is so different from the way the other ads are done that it really stands out. Those of you who have GameTap should check it out. Very Happy

Just go to Gametap TV, then to Games, and then to Trailers. The video is listed there under 5/18/06.

Hmmm... The trailer that plays while you're downloading says Myst Online: Uru Live at the end, but the one you can watch in GameTap TV still says Uru Live. They need to update their Trailer section. I like the way the Myst Online: Uru Live info card looks much better than the old one. Very Happy

I got my new PC Gamer yesterday, and GameTap had a three-page ad (the kind with maagzine text on the left, and the ad on the right)

First one: MO:UL. The next one is for Sam&Max, and the last page was just a GameTap ad.

Also, there's a quick blurb in there from one of the writers about Online download services - and he mentions MO:UL Very Happy

Hmmm... are they going with 'Myst Online' in the title in addition to Uru, because of franchise recognition? I don't recall the 'MO' being there a few months ago.

Not that I mind Myst being used as a selling point - anything that raises the profile of the game.

But I do recall that 'Middle Earth Online' became 'Lord of the Rings Online' through a series of gradual renamings.

It was introduced in august, IIRC. It's been around for a few months now.

Yeah, we're guessing it's primarily for franchise recognition.
