Post Posted: Tue Apr 13, 2010 6:13 pm — Post subject: MMW Part 2: Avatars

Hello All,

It's me again the one who brought you MOULa's Most Wanted (located here: http://mystonline.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=20380). I'm making up a new list specifically pertaining to avatars. So I will be placing the suggestions on the list below...

1. More haircuts. Some requested specifics
a. wavy hair put back in a higher pony
b. clipped back out off the face with the usual crowd of curl escapees along the edges
c. Mid length parted male hair
2. More images to stamp on to clothes.
3. Guild Jackets (similar to the Great Tree Jacket but Guild specific)
4. Skirts for the ladies Kilts for the fellas
5. Earings
6. "Casual" boots
7. MacPherson blue or red tartans
8. Jacobean shirt and Kilt... for both females and males
9. Native American buckskins
10. Captain Tightpants... britches, shirts, and suspender combos (Also reminds me of Captain Jack Harkness from another favorite show of mine).
11. A long coat
12. Eye upgrades
13. Cautious Optimism t-shirt design enabled for male avatars
14. Guild Uniforms.
15. HANDS THAT WORK
16. hair for the guys that sticks UP
17. burgundy GoM shirts
18. If we could adjust the height of our avatars and also the ratio between torso and legs
19. Messenger bags
20. The Great Tree Pub Jacket.
21. Sharper's Hat

I may run some polls as well if there are disputes on the subject.

Expect to see two more parts upcoming, one concerning the KI and the other Ages...

Part 3 KI located here: http://mystonline.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=20777

As Avatars go i would like to see more haircuts and more images to stamp on to clothes. Also guild specific shirts, not like the ones in kirel, more like the great tree pub one. Oh and leg wear... More leg wear, I hate all the shorts and pants except for the pants with side pockets.. The others just don't look right..

I would LOVE to see some new choices for female clothing. It's probably true that there is no way to please everyone; there are so many different styles that women wear. I, however, would love some boots that aren't work boots, some kind of skirt or dress, and a choice of pants that aren't either flairs (who wears flairs?) or cargo pants. And what about earrings?! Hel-lo..?

Concur. I'd like to be able to wear a kilt in-cavern.

All of these seem pretty reasonable so far, I'll put them up on the list.

Mebbe in MacPherson blue or red tartans.

I'd also like to see Native American buckskins...
and some Captain Tightpants...
britches, shirts, and suspender combos.

And tank tops that aren't hoochied or mid-riffed...
or would that required heavy modifications for different body styles?

And wavy hair put back in a higher pony...
or clipped back out off the face...
with the usual crowd of curl escapees along the edges.

Eyelashes...
and eyes...
with color depth...
and light reflections...
which give an avatar "life".

Uh-oh...
I better be done...
for now...
hunh?

Wow that's quite the list, I'll update it. and on a side note Browncoats forever.

Hmm I was also thinking it might be cool to have some more Myst specific clothing... I'll have to think about that more.

True but if it was D'ni it was probably filled with Guild uniforms, Guild uniforms, and more Guild uniforms...

Not that I wouldn't mind one Guild uniform myself...

HANDS THAT WORK .... I know it will change the game play a bit ... but come on, is shuffling stuff around with our feet really a big part of the game play, I find it just a big pain in the wazoo. As I've said a number of times before, Lara had the ability to use her hands in the first Tomb Raider game a long, long time before URU.

Hands that work will enable us to pick things up and carry them to the location they belong, and we wouldn't have to be aggravated by "air currents" or "water currents". We still have to figure out where we need to move the things.

Included with hands that work, I'd like the ability to do "jump and grab", like in Gahreesen where we go down into the broken floor to get the Relto page, we can get out without having to "relto" out.

But that's just my little pipe dream.

If we're talking hair, how bout some for the guys that sticks UP? Nobody I know wears their ceaser haircut down over the forehead (whether short or long), and there's nothing even close to the faux-hawk that I've been wearing lo these many years... Laughing I can get one in Guild Wars, why not Uru?

I think it would be great if we could adjust the height of our avatars and also the ratio between torso and legs. Some people are short, some are tall. Some have long legs, others short relative to their torso.

Would just give more realistic variety to the cavern.
