Hi everyone,

I haven't been on Uru for three weeks due to my computer crashing, so I was super-excited to log in again today. But now it's stuck on "checking for patch." No other topics have been made about it, and I think the server's up, so anyone got any ideas? I'm running Vista 32-bit and the rest of my internet's working fine.

Shorah Kuan. There have been a number of postings that might relate to this but most seem to have solved the problem by uninstalling the current version of the MO:ULagain download and installing the new one. Should be Release 1.887.
All the folk who have done this have reported that it worked.
Oh, and you won't lose any of your details like Avatar appearance, progress etc as long as you log in with your existing details as that info is stored on the servers.

Also, make sure there are no older processes running, so be sure to check the Task Manager and close out any remaining Uru processes.

I have a similar problem.
I haven't played MOUL for some weeks now but checked for updates regularly.

When I started the launcher today I got stuck on "Initializing Patcher".
I have the version 1.887 (UruLive.Live.1.887 - External.Release).
This should be the latest version, right?

I have made no changes to my firewall settings, to my router or to my windows (Win 7 64) settings.

There is only the version 887 to download (Fileplanet) which should be the version that is already installed on my PC.

Any ideas how to resolve my problem?

Oh sure, sorry.

The FAQ states that if this problem occures, there are more than one UruLauncher.exe open. So just open your Task Manager and close the processes (all UruLauncher.exe). After that, just start Uru again and the problem should be solved.

You can find the FAQ entry here http://mystonline.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=19424 second post under "Patcher Problems". My problem was the first one ("I'm stuck at "Initializing Patcher...""). The second one is the problem about "I'm stuck at "Checking for patcher update..."".

Just got back into Uru from 3 yrs ago - downloaded had two days of running around like a small kid again - then bang it stopped!

Followed all the suggestions below- including deleting and redownloading - still no joy Sad

seems after leaving it on updates for about 20 mins it started finally to have a lifeof its own and uru lives!

Well not quite - now it says DENIED! when i try to log in.........

Shocked

I've tried to re - register and the website was down Sad

Uru will be down for a day or so, because of a security update. :-)
