Post Posted: Thu May 06, 2010 3:45 am — Post subject: Memorable Threads?

The Mod Team has had many requests to have some of our more memorable forum threads, either past or still running, stickied. While we are unable to do so for many threads, we still feel that they deserve their own 'special' place here on the forums. To that end, we have created a Memorable Threads Collection in the Information and Resource forum. There we can put these classics, so we don't lose them forever. Links will be added as as requests are received.

If anyone has a thread they would like to have considered for listing, you can post your information below or PM a Mod. . Discussions of any of the threads are welcome in the appropriate forum and the Memorable Threads Collection thread will include a link to any active discussion of a thread that we are aware of.

Surprise in Minkata
Not only were the graphics and puzzles by Norfren awesome, but so was the participation by the posters following the thread; they brought the story to life.

15-1/2th Annual Truly Horrilble Ahnohnay Poetry Contest
This one is still periodically resurrected, but just in case it ever falls, it and Nyrphame (nerfy) should be remembered for providing a fun distraction during the dark days following the announcement of the cavern closing. :squish:
Most Horrilble Poll Ever! - Companion voting thread to the above.

"As the Cavern Turns" Episode Two
Pure silliness instigated by granelda, it demonstrates our giddy happiness during the height of the brightest days in the cavern.

I second Surprise in Minkata. That thread rose to the level of an interactive adventure that had me checking back many times a day to see what new devlopements had occured in the 23 minutes since the last time I checked. It was a blast.

The Official Open Source Uru Cyan Internal Memo Thread
Another vid-inspired narrative, detailing the shocking truths about operations at Cyan. Also the Intern Corral, and whiteboards. It's a pity it fell by the wayside.

Rand's first and only post on this forum was to compliment the fine documentary work being discussed in this thread:
The Story of The Great Tree Continues - Episode 1 Released!

Just for the curious, a direct link to Rand's post: Wohba!
