I suggest this new thread: Ki to text?

I think this offers those with typing and reading challenges another way to handle things.

Thanks for these threads.

Do we have a section or thread for those will disabilities?

I'm preparing to start one thread - gathering courage since it's quite a challenge for my English as a foreign language

Well as a native english speaker if you first wish to run it past me I'd be glad to help. I'm sure you'd do fine though

I nominate this one: http://mystonline.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=19141

All the hope and anticipation culminated in that one exciting first post. It glued me (and others, I'm sure) to my computer, constantly refreshing and waiting for news, until Uru came online again.

I second this for the same reason. (Not my intention at all to be self-indulgent here! :P )

This topic had endless excitement in it when it was first created, excitement I had not felt throughout the Uru Community for a long time, especially after a year and a half of everything being static... ;)

The topic had some good moments, and a few bad moments here and there (some of which got deleted), but it is still a topic I won't be forgetting anytime soon.

I remember refreshing my browser so many times that day...

Some good thread suggestions are being offered here. Just a suggestion: when posting a link, you can make it easier on the moderator who's collecting them by inserting the title like this: Victor Laxman <- - - and that one is definitely a classic, IMO. :D

Now, another oldie, but goodie:
The storyline, or lack thereof, has been debated many times over the years, but this thread appears to be one of the first attempts (May 2006). Since then, many only repeat or even parrot statements and positions originally made in this thread initiated by Shields: Make a real story this time.

Companion threads: MAKE A REAL STORY THIS TIME - THE SAGA CONTINUES - one page thread started when the first one was locked for becoming too heated. The original thread was then unlocked with a request by Greydragon to stay on topic and stop calling people idiots. When it was locked again, an attempt was made to restart the discussion in Concerning the "Make a real story this time" threa.

omg I wish I had threads from Prologue. There were so many "experts" then...also far more wonderful souls who merged in the Caverns. Might want to peruse the GOG threads starting in 2003.

I found "Myst: the comedy text-adventure"(viewtopic.php?f=41&t=26086) memorable but I am slightly buyist towards it and this may be more memorable for me as narrator.

You're right. The GOG forums may have had a focus on helping players, but that certainly doesn't limit the range of topics, discussions, and other hijinks. You'll also find that many threads here link back and forth or cross-post between the two forums, so to get a complete picture you really need to follow on both.

As for memorable threads on the GOG forum that don't directly link back, one stands out in particular for me: Threads Of D'ni, Gathering the fabric threads in the Artisans of D'ni sub-forum. While some of the photo links are now broken, many are still available and well worth taking a look at. :D

I'd like to throw this thread into the mix. For me it's the most pleasantly memorable.

The only thing I can remember from this silly bot is OHB taking back control on "The Bomb" to say to me that "The Bomb" would ignored me.

I'm not sure who was the more perillous at that time, "The Bomb" or myself attacking/insulting the bot. I was getting more and more infuriated as time passed by. Many guys were thrilled by the logic puzzle of "The Bomb", it got over my head for sure   I saw only the annoyance :? Call me "the Terrorist Terroriser"
