Persoanlly I wasn't surprised to see it either (pay decrease shows more about you and Cyan than anything else you wrote).

At least now all the info is in one place. The only thing left now is Patience, which I lost with some in this communtiy months ago but never lost the patience for Cyan and MOULagain.

Thanks for keeping us updated, RAWA. I know this has probably been a stressful few years for you folks, trying to keep the Cyan flame going long enough to where we can all finally throw a few logs on. I'm sure you understand that we all ask questions and generally act a little bit annoying because we care about Cyan, too, and we don't want to see that flame burn out either. We all just wish there was something more we could do to help.

We can gather more logs for the fire, so when we eventual get a chance we can all throw on a few logs and from a small flame we can build a Bonfire. But its gonna take cooperation from everyone from people like me (technically challenged) to the ..........ahem........ programmers who know their way around game engines and servers better then they are willing to admit, and Cyan the keystone for open source.

Weather your a Programmer, hacker, server admin, age writer new or experienced, or just some one who likes to hang out in the caverns and goof around we all have one thing in common we all want Uru live to survive and thrive. but Cyan exist as the Keystone for open source. We all have a common goal whether we are on the same side or not. Are opinions may vary and disagreement is to be expected. But only together we can make it work. We need to work together long enough to make it happen then after everything is set up and running smoothly well ...........you know

I thank RAWA for sharing his personal information and insight into the daily life at Cyan 2010 with over 20K people. That's something. I'm sure it's hard work and I applaud the efforts of the Cyan staff. I can't imagine trying to be proactive and positive every day but not knowing what tomorrow brings.... Times are tough for everyone and small business is getting it worse then most. You guys still have my patronage as you have for 10+ years.

RAWA you are great. thank you so very much, and the same counts for all those amazing persons that continuingto keep this dream still alive. as someone already mentioned only when Cyan becomes really really very very strong again all the uru story will restart again, as long as new myst games after chapter five... ( i so very, so very much like to explore releeshan, and go further in this mystery.)

Really? This old argument again? No, the thing that is holding up OS is that it's something Cyan isn't being paid to do. The bills and keeping the company afloat come first and whatever projects support them deserve our support.

Yep! It would be cool to see ten more companies come along and hire Cyan like Creative Kingdoms. Or a few companies ten times the size. The more this happens, the more comfy Cyan will be and the more spare time (assuming an increase in staffing) and spare change they'll have to work on Open Uru.

Wow trampled right over with denial.

It is not that old of argument, it is a fact, Magic Kingdom also payed Cyan to use and MOD URU.
Now if Cyan released URU to OS (not halfway realeased either) could spell the end for Cyan.

IMO, Cyan should have not said they would release URU to OS, because OS means I could MOD the game
ANYWAY I want too, I could finish the city make the insides of buildings put in new walkways etc. etc etc..
using all the assets the game already has in it ie: textures etc. Thats true OS, and also will never happen.

Maybe Cyan should sell special versions of URU to be MODed.
Then added to a UU shard style network. Could even add in Magic Quest at a later date as a shard within
the network. Each MOD will have to fall into catagories and ratings and any warnings or discriptions added
to be apart of the network.

Im thinking total UU reborn here, Cyan will still have D'mala (the 'Offical canon Shard) everything is still the same
as it is now but with this added choice to buy your own version to totaly mod anyway you see fit.


Cyan needs to take the OS statment down IMO.
