What happened to The Manhole? Chogon was pretty optimistic awhile ago about it coming soon, as they'd submitted it just one day after the Myst update.

Anything we can do to make it come faster? (Petition Yeesha? Razz)

I was about to make a topic about this myself. It's been twenty days since it was submitted, I'm starting to get a little worried.

Maybe they're playing through the game and they're having so much fun they completely forgot to accept it Wink

As I said in an earlier post, I think it's because Apple still hasn't found everything on RAWA's list of hidden things, especially the Top Secret Dedication Screen. Very Happy

(And if you don't know what I'm talking about, it's time you had a visit with Cho.)

Apple did not accept our Manhole submission because one of their testers was getting a crash on every launch. We have not been able to reproduce this crash, across all devices and iOSes. It is possible that the submission binary got corrupted. Don't know. We have asked Apple for more information which we have not received yet.

In the meantime, we have found some other bugs to fix and have tightened the code a little more and we should be ready to do a re-submission sometime at the end of the week or first part of next week.

Thanks,
Chogon

Sad Too bad they had problems with it. But at least it's not something like objecting to Atru… I mean Wall Russ' pipe or not being able to discover the dedication screen.

We re-submitted Manhole yesterday. It has more bugs fixed and memory leaks plugged.
Hopefully, Wall Russ the IV will be giving elevator rides to everyone soon.

Thanks,
Chogon

Aaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnd it's here! I already have the CD-ROM edition so I likely won't go for the iPhone edition (lack of my own device helps, too), but I would recommend it to anybody looking for a whimsical world for the young and young at heart.

Oh, come to think of it…

Did you have to remove the keyboard elevator joke/thing? That was my favorite part when I used to play The Manhole Masterpiece as a child! (Say it with me: "Argh, look what you've done!" Very Happy

(Pssst… @Cyan, you have a grammar error on the description."…beneath what appears to be just an average, everyday, manhole" should be "average, everyday manhole." Thought you might like to know. Smile )

comma-separated adjectives for emphasis ... Not necessarily a grammatical error. You'll understand the intent if you read the sentence out loud and pause at the commas.

Not really trying to get into a grammar debate here, but object is the subject of the sentence, while the other two words are modifying adjectives. A comma between an adjective and the noun it modifies is not correct.

But if they did it on purpose, then by all means, they should leave it. Smile

Ooh, this is a lovely surprise after a long day! I'm just a few cents short in my iTunes account... but I have money in my checking account... so I'm gonna get it and let the overflow be billed Razz

It's worth it though.
