So far, I've only learned the D'ni word "Shorah". But are there any others I should know that are useful?
Also, does anyone have a reference sheet for D'ni numerals?

I don't think there are many other D'ni words we use commonly like "Shorah", at least I can't think of any other word we use.
But if you want to know more about the D'ni language and numbers you can visit some places:
The D'ni Linguistic Fellowship is the reference place for all the Linguists of the community
The D'ni Student is a collection of basic lessons about the D'ni language and numbers [contains spoiler if you want to learn numbers by yourself]

For the D'ni numerals, you will find a complete explanation of them in "The D'ni Student" lessons.
In the Cavern we have a couple of KIpics, called DLF Handouts, with a schematic explanation of the D'ni numbers and letters. You may ask around if someone have them or if you meet a Cavern Crier (they usually wear the Yellow Guilds T-shirt) you can ask him about them.

.shorah

Another good reference (also contains spoilers) is the D'ni Dictionary at http://www.eldalamberon.com/dni_dict.htm.

Also, Lesson 4 of the D'ni Student link above has some additional conversational phrases beyond shorah.

Some of us, both the linguists among us but also explorers just wanting to learn more, are studying what there is about the D'ni language.
Do ask around the the City and Bevins. Someone may have an answer.

Also, there are some basic D'ni classes in Second Life where it's easier to upload study and presentation materials.
If you want to know more, please contact me (see my banner below for my avatar names and KI number).

A phrase that I have become rather fond of is ".shorah gah bigtotee" (Peace and blessings.) In case you were wondering, the D'ni place their punctuation at the beginning of the sentence, instead of at the end.

I started a Guild of Instructors in Second Life during our exile, teaching the D'ni language to my fellow explorers. Since the the cavern has been reopened, I've created a Guild of Instructors Bevin in Uru as well. You may find our instructors wandering around the city from time to time. You wil find us by our names. We all have the first name of shokhootahn. metaigahn is shokhootahn Benandru. I am shokhootahn Rehn. There is also shokhootahn Misha, shokhootahn Svig and shokhootahn shen. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask one of us. Smile

Apart from "Shorah", what are common expressions that can he heard in the game?

I made these, and they occasionally make the rounds. You can see if anyone has them on their KI if you like.

Numbers

Letters

They are still being spread as KI mail by the Cavern Criers, but I am afraid that there aren't many doing their rounds(so far I know), other people in the cavern should have them too.

N.B if you post your KI number I'll sent them asap Smile

I have those two pics and will happily send them to anyone.
Let me know your KI number either here on the forum or in cavern and I'll send them to you.

NB. It might be helpful if you are reading this and want them sent to you, to specify who should send them,
otherwise you might end up with multiple copies of the same pictures.
Ignore That ^^^^
See the post below for why.

No, it is the same KI mail, if the title isn't changed it is just replaced.

I would be interested in those, thank you. My Ki ID (if I got it right) is now in my signature.
But more than just language and alphabet, are there common expressions ?

yeah, I only had to look them up Smile

These are the ones I've heard(transcription may vary):
S(h)ora(h) = Hello, Goodbye
S(h)ora(h) b'se(h)mtee = formal welcome
cev se(h)m = thank you

I don't think a lot of other phrases are used, if there are you should be able to find them here

It would be cool to see more D'ni spoken in the Cavern!
Here are some useful phrases that might help you do that:

.dho meesem rehev "messenger" te D'nee
= How do you say (speak) the word "messenger" in D'ni?

.rehev te D'nee khe "messenger" kenen sheetemsootahn
= The word in D'ni for "messenger" is sheetemsootahn.

.dho meesem rehevtee "he or she carries messages" te D'nee
= How do you say the words "he or she carries messages" in D'ni?

.rehevtee te D'nee khe "he or she carries messages" keneet laysooen sheetemtee
= The words in D'ni for "he or she carries messages" are laysooen sheetemtee.

(Of course the parts in quotation marks and italics can be modified as appropriately for whatever you are trying to say or explaining how to say in D'ni.)

I suppose another pair of useful phrases for such conversations would be:

.ril tahgahm .khahpo rov mot tayren voohee
= I don't know. Perhaps that person could help.

Shorah,
Kh'reestrefah
