I watched the Apple event today, and they showed off a game that Epic is working on which looks fantastic. And just to prove their capability, they released a tech demo called Epic Citadel:

It's free, and universal, and it basically just allows you to wander around a mideavil walled town. The environment is large and gorgeous and, if anything, is more complex than the environments and graphics in realMyst (which isn't surprising, given how old realMyst is).
This makes me think realMyst could be adapted to the iPad.
