Post Posted: Thu Dec 23, 2010 7:05 am — Post subject: Cleft easter egg

Everything is done in the URU live, I've finished Yeesha's journy and gotten the cleft book, plus the Myst book, but I thought everything was complete until yesterday an explorer said something about the easter egg in the Cleft. I talked to one of the Cyan members and it was confirmed that their was an easter egg; he told me if I looked into the scope that I would see people in it and then jump over the fence to retrieve the easter egg. Confused

But the problem is that I can't see anything in the scope, plus can't jump over the fence. Sad

Can somebody plz tell me the steps how to complete this easter egg, I really want to know whats on the other side of that fence?

I've never done it, but if you look up Uru: Ages beyond myst on eeggs.com you can find it.

Is it really possible to find this Easter egg in the online version of Uru?

it is possible to jump over the fence after completing the specific steps but the fence jump is difficult and someone forgot to gas up the Zamboni

I'm having trouble with looking through the Riven telescope. Maybe I did something incorrectly. Question

Okay. I've followed the instructions here.

Unfortunately, every time that I attempt to look through the Rivenese telescope, I don't actually get the hot spot on my cursor.

I think that I might have done something incorrectly, but I'm not sure what.

I've even followed this video precisely, yet nothing happens. Confused

Edit:

Sorry, mods. Maybe this post could be merged with a nearby thread that has an identical theme.

I did the Easter Egg offline and it was cool, and haven't tried it online, but I trust Pokemon that it works (albeit with a few changes).

I think it was me that strayer was chatting with online (strayer, I am not Cyan, I'm a volunteer). I can tell you that it is VERY easy to miss one tiny detail from the easter egg to result in failure. Try again if you are a determined person. Smile

Cheers,

Dadguy

EDIT: Just tried it today and it worked great! (Except the afore mentioned RV ride... you do get on the RV as you get close and the motor starts up, but it won't move). ALSO, once you get close enough to get on the RV, you can't get off without Relto-ing out (which resets the puzzle), so if you want to explore a bit, don't get too close to the RV.

I followed the instructions, and watched Grimhilde's video on youtube. It seemed fairly straightforward and it was. I ran around the outside of the fence quite happily but it is easy to run through the fence and find yourself stuck on the inside - and I mean stuck as in not being able to run around freely but being on a sticky spot needing to Relto out.

I found the RV but when I got close my avvie became stuck again and it was impossible to climb up the van or walk away from it. Pity. Now I'll have to reset the ages again and try it yet again as I haven't established how far out I can run.

Heheh, A'na, I warned (above) about getting too close to the RV before you have had a chance to explore. Smile

Have fun!
