Hmm, now it seems as if I'll be going with a bunch of veterans... That's not really the idea right? Maybe we could go scout newbies in the cavern before we actually link to ercanna?

I am about to join, since I hope I get descriptions of surroundings. I'm visually impaired, I did the game with a walkthrough (still enough challenge, since I had to figure out what the objects look like and where they actually are, i.e. playing a "hidden object" game). So I have that Age solved, but don't actually know much about surroundings ...

@Narameh: We can definitely do some scouting around as well. Plus, it's always possible that there's more new people who haven't posted on here. But yeah, we'll definitely do some cavern crying.

@TomVal: Hopefully we can get some descriptions going as well. If we can't you can always ask questions about what things look like Smile

Did the survey.

It was great everybody, even if I was the only one actually new to Er'cana Smile. Thanks!

That was quite a bit of fun and the turnout was excellent (from veteran explorers Razz)

I'll probably post about the next one shortly (once I get feedback from people)

Thank you to Narameh for letting us all be there.
Things we have learnt from the exploration:
(I've spoilered them just in case, please say if they don't need spoiler tags)

The door in the well will not open with people in the tunnel.
That certain actions trigger the music, which everybody can hear.
This one may be limited to only me learning it:

The blue button to the right of the direction lever on the harvester calls the passenger car back from the "up" position. Handy if you leave it there and are stuck on how to get past it.

Anyone else learn anything from the exploration?

I was looking through the survey responses and I was loving the feedback I got. People are interested in helping out in the future, which is awesome, and people loved the general idea of exploring. Hopefully we'll be able to get some more new players next time around.

Oh, and to whoever said this (you don't have to identify yourself), it gave me a big warm and fuzzy feeling:
Question: If we were to have another exploration, would you attend and why?

Quote:

Yes, because it's rare to have such a gathering agree to just go exploring nowadays.

Well if anyone's up for exploring Minkata,
I doubt I'll be able to do it without any help.

And if someone can go and get the football (soccer ball to Americans !) we can all have a kick-about.

EDIT - Spoilered, just in case.

A little sidenote: I knew there were certain spots in the game that triggered songs, including the one where you step off the harvester into the main factory. We were all happily surprised to discover that the entire 5+ minute song played for everyone in the Age, and so there was much dancing. Very Happy

Again, a big thanks to Narameh for letting a bunch of Uru-crazy vets look over her shoulder as she strained to solve the puzzles!

Amen.

Sure, I'm up for anything at this point Smile. I would however take the time first to copy all the little direction thingies in the booklet next to the linking book for sure, so we all have those handy.

I found Minkata the day before yesterday, and it seems to be endles. I put a marble on my forward key and left it for 20 minutes, and it was still just the same desert Razz. As of yet I have little idea of what to do there. So I'd love to join some others for brainstorming.

I also found a map for gahreeshen at the guild of greeters, which makes it slightly less spooky. I can just ask any of my buddies to go along at a random moment, but I could also make this into another event, the more the merrier Smile.

Based on the feedback I got the two most popular are Gahreesen and Minkata. Gahreesen had more votes however, and it's one I know that at least one new person would love some companions in, so that will probably be our next one.

It's probably more interesting too.
There is one thing I'd love to see a group in Gahreesen do ...
But if I said, I'd have to spoiler tag it Razz
