.shorah b'shemtee explorers

Once again The New Players' Hood will be sponsoring an exploration. This time, based on the requests of those from last time, we will be doing an exploration of Gahreesen.

I would repost the details of the event, however I'm lazy so I'll point you to thread for the previous event so you can get all the nitty gritty about how the day will run and what we expect from any veterans/people who have completed the age that accompany us. Just replace any time you see Er'cana with Gahreesen

So as with before, spread the word. Find some people who might be interested in real life and get them to sign up if you have to. We want new people to come!

This makes the exploration slightly shorter for me, as I have to get up early every day in the week, also in the weekend. However, short is better than not at all, so I'll be there .

I'm very willing to host again, if that's helpful. I've not done that much in Gahreeshen yet, I can reset it for the purpose. However, if I'm going to be the only new explorer again it seems more sensible to start where I left off. If you are a new explorer and want to join, please let me know . I see some problems in large groups though:

How is everybody going to fit into the hole in the wheel to get to the power generation thingy? How is everybody going to be able to jump to the platform? It's a hard jump when you have LAG, and with many people we will have. Possible solution is, if we do start the age fresh, for a few veterans to join in the power gen room, and the rest just to take the elevator. We'll have to jump to the platform in small groups I guess.

Hi Narameh,
To answer the question in your spoiler, I had thought of that,
any new explorers go through and then then only a few veterans need to go through. Anyone else can stay on the other side of it until the puzzle has been solved and then the requirement to get through becomes unnecessary. If any veterans want to try getting through the gap, I see no reason why they couldn't go on ahead and wait on the other side for you to catch up, provided it doesn't spoil anything for any new explorers to Gahreesen. There'll be a que for the lift anyway.

As for the other part of your spoiler, well, that's the fun bit I really want to see.

We definitely need to take pictures of everybody bunched on there . Oh, if anybody has problems with me hosting, please let me know, as I really liked doing it in Er'cana and am really looking forward to doing it again. I do however, not want to take the chance from other who would also like to do so.

The big thing with doing Gahreesen is the fact that the KI dispenser is there. Many new people might do the full age and get the KI along the way, thinking
that it's only purpose is to open doors

So we may not have to many new people this time around because of that fact.

The other thing that I worry about is lag. There's several areas that people can fall and panic link because of it. But that's why you send invites.

not everyone has to enter the gear room to get it started. in fact it only helps to have three. (a runner, a weight, and somebody to man the switch bank) everyone else can just goof off in the rest of the facility.

and the best a group can hope for is to lose half of their numbers at that certain point. that point really bogs down group expeditions in gahreesen esp if you must wait for everyone to get over. actually, unless an explorer is in need of the cloths and other valuables they don't have to make their way past that or into the gear room.

That is something I considered, but I wonder if it's too late to change the event to the other place... but that may be a fun one to do as well.
