I'd bet that many explorers are dying for new puzzles in URU. I know I am.
Considering the theme of puzzle creation, I'm thinking about creating a month-long competition called the Decathlon, consisting of ten marker games. Each game would be a unique puzzle-- short story scenarios, riddles, code puzzles, scavenger hunts, and mild skydiving challenges would be included.
Here's how the competition would work. At the beginning of the month (probably January), I send you the ten games. Then you have the whole month to beat as many as possible. Work at your own pace, and you don't have to beat every puzzle. Each game ends with two passcodes, one for basic completion, one for bonus mastery. At the end of the month, you send me all the passcodes you've found and receive a score based on how many you get right. Highest scorers win prizes and glory! Team completion is allowed, but be sure to tell me so I can share the rewards appropriately. There may be different divisions for teams and individuals, but enough details for now...
So, what do you all think?
Since this project would require a large effort on my part, I would only continue if the proposal receives overwhelming support, so PLEASE BE SURE TO RESPOND IN THE POLL.
