It feels like it was just yesterday we got over him stepping down, and now this. It's amazing how fast things can change. May his legacy continue to live on.

A very sad day. My first machine was my beloved Mac+. He will be missed, he was a brilliant man.

Today is a sad day. The world has lost a visionary man. The world, computers, even Myst, wouldn't be the same with out Steve Jobs. May his legacy live long, and prosper.

I may not have always been big on Macs, as I have always been a PC person. However; I do have a huge, huge, HUGE amount of respect for what Steve Jobs and Apple have done for technological advancements, and how his advancements helped shape our technological world into what it is today. He was an amazing man to have graced mankind with his presence. May he rest in peace. Sad

Just heard it in the news ... I immediately knew I'd find an appreciation and tribute thread here ...

My Love, my thoughts, my prayers and my sympathy I'm sending out to his family and close
friends as well as to all the people around the world considering themselves being closed to
this absolutely awesome person and man ...

He was a real gift to the world and I mean this not only seen from a technological view ...
The world has lost a real treasure and jewel as a human being and wonderful SOUL ...

Rest in Peace, dearest Steve, and reflect before journeying on on that never-ending road
into eternity where we will all meet one day happily united ... Thanks for all you've presented
and challenged us with ... Smile

Not many people change so many other people's lives in the positive way that Steve did.

I heard the news tonight after I got home from work. It's a shame to hear that he died the way he did. he wasn't really that old either...

Though I would say the only positive things he did were create fine technology and products. However the iPod labor abuse over in China is not something I would consider positive. Of course, each businessman has had their good moments as well as the bad.

When I heard the news on the car radio this morning I thought what a leveler death is. Not matter how much money one has you can't escape it. But 56, now that is too young, I feel for his family.

We also can't forget about his involvement with Disney and Pixar. Without Steve, who knows where Pixar would be today as a studio.

Pixar probably wouldn't exist without the help of Steve Jobs.

For anyone who is interested, if you want to learn more about how Steve jobs helped Pixar, check out this documentary about how Pixar came to be (It's in 9 parts, but worth the watch)

I don't respect him as a person, but his technologies fueled the imagination. I'm one of those "conscious" types that take note of a companies effort to recognize and improve the conditions of its labor force.

But really, don't focus on my gripe--I respect a lot of Steve's accomplishments.
