More games with toilets in them:

DOOM 3D

Bioshock

Fallout 3

(notice the trend is shooter games here....)

Ah wait! - Darkfall had bathrooms in the hotel and was an adventure game.....

Not just recent games, but I do remember bathrooms in the first Duke Nuke 'Em 3D game......

I don't remember bathrooms in Zork though.....

Code:

>Go North

You enter a small room with a round ceramic bowl attached to the floor and a lever on it.

>Pull lever

You hear water running.

>Look in bowl

A grue leaps out of it and gets you!

oh yeah, on top of the numerous bug fixes they've yet to get around too... toilets should be a top priority Razz

grungy bathrooms are often to be found in survival horror games. such as condemned and Resident Evil 4 (and other Res Evils i'm sure) in which you, again, get surprised by a zombie charging out of the loo and shoot it.

now in those games, bathrooms fit the setting rather well... try making bathrooms work in Myst's surrealistic style of presentation

bathrooms are just too mundane and dull for fantasy surrealism... come to think of it i spend way too much time in them as it is, having them all over uru doesn't exactly seem like suitable escapist entertainment to me

and four pages worth of a forum discussion on bathrooms (or lack there of) reeks of boredom to me Razz

I know Duke Nukem Forever has toilets in it. From the ads for that game though I wouldn't recommend it; they're used in a very vulgar sense.

Just remembered 2 other adventure games that had bathrooms in them:

Shivers and Shivers 2 (the first was in the museum, and yah, a monster really did pop out of it, lol, the 2nd was in the hotel rooms).

And I'm not sure if I remember 100 percent correctly, but I think you get to see bathrooms in Titanic: Adventure Out Of Time.

everyone here so eagerly wishes to see what's behind each and every closed door in ae'gura...

definition of irony: every closed door in ae'gura has a bathroom behind it.
