@ johnsojc : uhm NO , i think the consensus is that everyone wants the GOG to become MORE active , rather than LESS . So what do you mean by unwelcome

The GOG is more than welcome . But failing to do what they have taken upon themselves to do ( apart from a very few ) it is time for some changes . It is clear for everyone to see that the GOG leadership is incompetent , and should be replaced by greeters who take their ( voluntary ) responsibility serious . Any initiative improving the situation has my blessing . I prefer to believe the GOG-website problem is a fluke , a technical issue at a most unfortunate moment in time . I refuse to believe that anyone who has chosen to become a greeter , to serve the community , would EVER consider to pull the plug like that . Blocking access to material created by other parties without ensuring this material remains availlable elsewhere , would expose the GOG leadership as a bunch of bullies and tyrants in no uncertain way . I asume we will see an apology for the inconvenience , as well as some serious effort to remedy the other problems shortly . ( i hope )
