Explanation for Minkata boots & start of explanation for Dusty:
The boots is an object that can either stay right where it should be or disappear after being worn.
The boots are only seenable at night in Minkata which is not surprising compared to (let's take a comparison age: D'ni-Riltagamin yeah!!!

):
Zandi's Hawaiian Shirt : only in rainy
D'ni Googles: only in rainy
Rain Relto Page: only in rainy
Kickable Logs: only in sunny
Kickable Wood planck: only in sunny
Silly Crows Relto Page: only in sunny
Sparklies Calendar Relto Page: both states
Bahro Pillars Relto Page: both states
We see that there is another age having objects only appearing in a state and not the other one. When Minkata changes state (fading black screen), it gives time to each parameters within the age to be modified as such. The boots are just taken away or on the opposite made available to be grabbed.
Behind the process is the loading of Minkata_District_minkExteriorNight.prp instead of Minkata_District_minkExteriorDay.prp or vice versa.
For the kickable object like "Dusty", I can explain it to you but I won't do it on forum let me just say that for every kickable (even in D'ni-Riltagamin) whether or not they are seenable in both states they all keep their spatial location when a state change. For instance in the Cleft the wood planck in rainy cleft is at the same exact location as it was when you leave it in sunny cleft. The only difference is that in rainy cleft the visual and physical object has been removed at the coding level.
Dusty is in fact behaving as any kickable object would behave in an age with different states, the spatial location of it is kept.
Voilà!
