Shora peoples !

First of all, forgive me for my bad English language, cuz I'm French (nobody's perfect Very Happy )...
Some of you maybe remember me as part of the Ilathid Project.

I recently decided to remake the Riven Maglev in 3D, using Cinema 4D, my favourite Gfx software. When finished, me think I'll make big nice renders (A3 format) for anybody who'd like to have one.

I started to draw plans but some parts are difficult see and to figure out.
So, I'm looking for good, and if possible big, reference pictures. Already gathered the ones I wanted directly ingame, but there are maybe others I don't know. SO if you know some, please tell me.

Started to play around, you can follow my progress at my blogs : http://ufo-3d.fr/

TIA for reading, and maybe helping me in this work.

EDIT 2012/07/15 : Decided to change the title of this Discussion as it talks about various topics and not only of 3D Maglev…

Hello,

Did a little update last weekend : general Shape of the Cabin seems good (albeit there are lotsa little things to adjust), the glass part are still roughly defined and will also be refined later. The rest (the top part) isn't worked at all.

If you see anything wrong, please fell free to tell me.

I know their project, the work they did is awesome. I guess they already modeled this item, although they still have never shown it, afaik.

Thanks.

Edit : long time I didn't get by the Starry Expanse blogs, and in fact, they already showed it...

No news about the Maglev, did put it on a shelf for a while...

Regarding this thread about D'nii Googles, I decided to give'em a try :

This model is far from finished (modeling, textures, and so on…), you can see more pix and explainations (in French…) at my blogs.
What do you think of this ?

This is not related to your D'ni goggles, but you did ask for a show of the Mag Lev from the Starry Expanse Project:

Still nothing new about the Maglev… Embarassed

My today's C4D doodle is an articulated rusted steel coat-peg we purchased for our home. It's really D'ni-ish as we like :

And a short animation of it : coat-peg video

More pix and explainations (in French…) at my blogs.

Vraiment amusant ton blog Wink

You are a great modeller, use your fingers elsewhere than... and maybe find a team to work with on GoW forum.

Despite all what men say Laughing, women always buy useful things for the household, you should thanks 'ChèreTendre' for the coat-peg you own.

"a great modeller", I don't think so, "good" seems enough to me… Wink
Beside this, I'm already very busy with real life and personnal hobbies to get involved in other new projects, dunno where I could find more spare time. Was involved in Ilathid project and I finally had to draw back due to lack of time.
And as I'm using Cinema 4D (no Blender nor 3DS), I guess it would be painful for everybody if I worked with GoW peoples.

Count on her for that ! Very Happy

The modeling is well conceived and executed. I personally found it inspiring, because it so closely resembled my own design for my mini-subs/ windsurfer craft to my Planet Dragonia Age - Thermal Deep Ocean "Water Age" Just change the nose design a bit and remove the maglev engine above supporting it, add fins and rudders and my mini-sub is practically built.
Was wonder how long it took you to create? Thanx for the share!
