The current discussion in the Myst V thread about a Mac version of the game, inspired me to write this poll. If you choose "other" please post what OS.

Bonus points too you then Smile, I love Linux but most of my software(and some of my hardware) does not so I have to use Windows for a primary OS Sad. I have a Linux laptop which you could have deducted if you saw my posts on OpenURU and the Guild Of Writers site. My laptop is also a virtual machine host in which I try other Linux distros. What distro, do you have, by the way?

Currently running Linux Mint 10, holding out for Ubuntu 12.04. I used to be on Debian, and before that CentOS.

@tanshin - are all three of those your primary operating systems?

@Lyrositor - those are all good distorts. I am a Fordora Core guy myself.

Oh no I can't seam to figure out how to change the poll options so I can't add "some combination" to the list.

All of my personal machines are Winblows, but I have a Kubuntu virtual machine for development. My server runs Debian, which is definitely my favorite distribution.

One mac laptop from school for compatibility and convenience.
One mac given as a gift (twist my rubber arm).
One built PC (6 years old) that crashed.

Only have mac as an option atm, only cause lack of functioning windows. Smile

I love computers. No particular OS (though I don't know Linux)

My primary system and main gaming laptop have Win 7 64 bit Service Pack 1 and WinXP 32 bit Service Pack 3. My 2nd laptop just has Win XP Service pack 3, my 3rd one is running XP Service pack 2, and my home web/gameserver runs Fedora 13.

I've always had a Windows OS starting back with 3.11. I still have some Amiga computers though they aren't hooked up right now and I haven't used them in years. I once had an I-Mac but got rid of it as it was pretty much useless for my needs. I've run Ubuntu on my system dual boot with Windows XP a few times, but I get tired of reinstalling it and starting over every time my system needs to be rebuilt. I may have to set up another physical drive with Ubuntu and set the boot record on it as primary. Then if I have to rebuild Windows then I can unplug that drive for the rebuild and plug it back in when I'm done so that it boots first. Of course the boot menu would need reworking. As it is I keep all my programs on separate logical drives and my data on a separate physical drive so that when I do rebuilds it's easy to recover all my data and programs.

At home I run OS 10.6 currently. I have an old Dell with XP but it's currently collecting dust. At work I run 10.7 on the iMac with Win 7 in a virtual machine. Also have a Dell with Win 7 64 bit with XP in a vm. And an iPad 2. Wink
