All claims of spring indicate geocentric thinking. It's always spring somewhere and it's always winter somewhere else. One can find evidence for their own seasonal wishes anywhere. Birds conform naturally to these wishes by migrating rather than ask the Earth to move for them.

There are not too many surprises left in this game. I consider this whole thread a spoiler and it would be nice if it was moved to the ‘spoiler forum’.

While there is a certain spoilerish element to this, it doesn't really expose any of the gameplay, and previous threads enquiring about the Delin seasons have also appeared in this section, so I'm inclined to leave it where it is Smile

At least Delin doesn't coincide with Milledgeville... We got up to 90 F this week and have snow perhaps every 10 years.

Seeing "Adam" in this thread makes me think of the Genh Shard and that makes me wonder when the seasons will change on the shards.

Well stated, clear and lucid!
However, If it's winter time in Delin, snow all over the ground and the birds have migrated, why do I always hear birds and even a goosie or two? Wouldn't they be gone by this time of winter?
What ever the game makers decide is fine by me. I like Delin either way. Laughing

@ Mac_Fife - Thank You Smile

Ah... so the message has been thoroughly routed. Well, good.

While Eder Delin is not on Earth and would not necessarily be expected to follow the timing of our seasons, it seems that Eder Delin isn't too far off the general weather pattern of Chattaroy, Washington, where I happen to reside. Smile

Completely coincidentally, I'm sure, if I engage in a little "eyewitness weather" and look out my window right now, I see a 1/2 inch of fresh snow with the little flakes continuing to fall at this very moment (we're expected to get about 1 inch accumulation today).

Wearing a more familiar hat of historian, winter in Eder Delin seems to usually end sometime in our April.

Here, in the mid-midwest, I would normally agree with that. Last year it was quite cool well into May. However, Mother Nature seems to have decided to take pity on my forcibly shod feet (in RL, too) and not only has it been so warm this winter that we've not seen much snow, but it has gotten so warm so early this spring that the BBQ's began firing up before the stores were fully stocked with burnables. Fortunately, I kept some going from the bonfire in Delin and brought them up to the surface. (Don't ask me how I managed that, as I really couldn't say)

The trees, bugs, and rodents are completely confused. The geese migrated north a month early, and the robins expect me to turn the garden for them already. Not only that, but it smells like spring, and to me that means it's real. I myself have not complained one we bit about the lack of snow or ice to shovel. I am a great fan of geocentricity and aromatic observation.

Nevertheless I will attempt to soothe the shivers of Delin-goers during the next few GoH events -- maybe we'll pass out some knitted slippers. We will need more hot tea and less (im)-patiens, at least for a while.

It snowed today. It also snowed yesterday. Few inches each day it felt like, probably not but it always seems a lot more when you could see grass beforehand. Edmonton had to get in its last hurrah of winter at the end of march (it does that every year)

Ah well. Delin's the same I guess. Maybe in turn it can stay sunny until december next time to balance? Very Happy

Yup, half snow here this morning and non stop rain in the Spokane area. Sigh, but we can't complain too much because we will be hotter than haides in summer no doubt. And maybe won't have to worry about drought. Of course, we don't usually have to worry too much here.

Wow what's with all the snow? Here it was 86 IN THE SHADE. I've been having the AC on all day.

The Zandimobile in Delin during the winter? Now there's an idea. Thanks for the update on the weather, RAWA. Enjoy the rest of your winter weather.
