I don't think these image was "photoshoped" ; just using the "/float" command or something like this and another command activating the "climbing" animation...

On the other hand, I think it is technically possible to swim in Gahreesen's water... But not with the game files from Cyan.
You probably have to be abble to "create" new files and modifying some other for that's be really possible...

That image was made on a UU shard with the good old adminKI. Turn off the panic link region, warp the player into the water, and make them play the climbing animation.

As Aien said, still waiting on that proof... Not that anyone believes it exists.

I'm very curious about the egg opening part. I'm almost sure I've seen a picture of that somewhere (naturally, I can't find it, now ); IIRC, four or five sides laid out to the side.

If I thought anything Jahmen said might be explained by something like that, I'd have said as much. But anything remotely like what he describes (the egg room opening up and there being a completely new book inside, for example) is not the same thing as that.

I re-read thru the thread here. I hadn't realized there had been a requested of my TO D'NI CD files to provide a comparison against other know files versions?
I don't know how to do that, load the CD and bring up the files it has on it.
If you could elaborate more about the how steps to do that, I will try to find the time to do them.
I did find an old 2003 or 04 gigex down load file of like 193MB (probably got gigex spelled wrong) on my old Dell and managed to copy from the Properties information. I'm on my Cooler Master computer, so don't have that to paste in here now. Not sure if that is what was wanted or meant about files?
Again, Idon't know how to see the files in it tho. sorry
I will provide what ever proof I can find, when I find the time to get through everything I have to check out, including trying to replay thru the various combinations of the game versions.

My real Life and the economy doesn't afford me much time for doing all this and so I'm fairly certain that any proof I manage to find will be a long time in coming. I realize this will be just more ammunition for the nay Sayers here to pun more about.

So . . . I have my concerns about any proof pictures or files that I do find as being attacked as fake.

Therefore, I didn't bother including my hand draw maps & game notes to the upper area Gahreesen Age on my www.PlanetDragonia.com website's Gallery Age Album Pictures links.
I wanted for now to avoid any further harsh and negative comments showing up there.
Obviously, my drawing out all my game ages as I play with notes is no proof, but just my own historical note keeping.

However, for those of you who care to bother looking at my web sites Gallery Page I am still building out. You may find some evidence proof to the type of player I am. You will find that someone like myself, who takes the time when playing through the Myst games, meticulously draws out every Age as I'm playing is not typical.
NOTE: My playing in this manner does afford me a better recollection of the games I play than most and with my drawn maps and game notes to help my recall. Just sayin . . .
Additionally, it takes lots of time going along all the perimeters and places in an Age to accurately draw it out.
For those taking the time to look, they might notice that my Age drawings are reasonably quite accurate renditions.
In my search for proof, my old Journal notes and game notes clearly show that . . .

We are talking about eight ( years ago and a number of computers with changes from diskettes to CD's to DVD's and storage of my things in 2 states, yup! It could take quite sometime for the proof to be found.
But it won't be for any lack of trying on my part.
The satisfaction that might be had from some to eat crow would be would make it all well worth the effort.

Do you understand how proof works? You post something that demonstrates you are telling the truth. If it's "attacked as fake" that means there's another (more likely) explanation for it and therefore it doesn't demonstrate you are telling the truth. So you go back and post something that does. It's nothing personal. It's just if you post something like the "swimming in Gahreesen" picture that was posted earlier then the method for fabricating such an image is known and it doesn't in any way prove you are telling the truth. May I suggest recording video using FRAPS, which would be much harder to fake.

As I was the one who requested this map, I'd just like to say that you've already answered what I was trying to figure out with the map. It's not a skydiver trick, you actually believe the game was extensively modified. And you seem bafflingly unconcerned by how unlikely this is.

I've said this before, but it doesn't seem to have gotten through to you. This is not about playing the game thoroughly. You seem to think that it's absolutely unremarkable that nobody else has found these things, because only you played thoroughly enough. But that's not the only way to discover secrets. The offline game has been thoroughly investigated on the back end for years now. And the notion that your version is somehow different (which you find equally unremarkable) is not at all plausible. I think you really don't appreciate just what the implications of what you are saying are.

I was certainly giving Jahmen the benefit of the doubt on this one..... until he posted a link to his site with his maps on it. Jahmen I must say they certainly are wonderful work but ummmm..... why is it that the gahreesehn map which we could view as "Evidence" is the only map that isn't viewable on your site?
