Been here for a long while now, and until today I had never found a no effort elevator. All I have to do is jump, from normal ground, on a normal path. Of course I have to be standing exactly in the right spot, but nothing special to get there. This particular one is in Teledon,

lol Are there others?

Since this is no trick, and doesn't give anything away, I almost didn't put it in the spoilers thread. All it might do is intrigue explorers that there just might be something else going on.........

If I were to post a screen shot, you would know where the spot is... Not wanting to diminish your explorations....Wink

Was there context for this somewhere which would explain what it means?

No context per se.

For those who want to get off the ground, like they have seen others do it is merely interesting. I'm guessing that even for many who are regularly off the ground, it might be interesting.

@dj_

Your "no effort" elevator you are referring to are always found in 80 degrees slope collision walls.

In Teledahn, in Gira, in Neighborhood, in Kirel, in... whatever age that have 80 degrees slope collision walls.

You are climbing with no effort...but with less effort you can visit your Relto real fast too.

I call them the deathly slope elevators. The chance to reach the top is very low. Mostly a safety walk-jump or run-jump as to be done to reach the collision wall top ahead a little bit farther.

I won't disclose the locations where they can be found if dj_'s intention was to keep that secret. I can answer you if you see me in cavern. Note that for every elevator I know of...you must do some climbing prior to reach them. It's not the "push the button to call up the elevator" thing Wink

Annabelle, this one is unique. I do not believe it is anywhere near 80'.

If I am looking the right way, all I have to do is hit the spacebar once. Second time falls to ground, not relto. however, once off the ground wj or rj will gain more altitude. But not enough to go over that collision wall. Might be enough to get into an existing marker game tho, have not tried much.

dj_ showed it to me in his Teledahn.

It's not what I expected it to be but I recall this "elevator". Many of you don't remember but there was a small little quest made by ... (Henry & Abjab know who I'm talking about Laughing ). Her quest is called "Infuriating Teledahn" with 5 markers in it. One being at the top of this elevator.

It's quite unusual in URU for the simple fact that it exploits 2 collisions overlapping, one is red, one is yellow. ...If you wonder what in the world is a "red" or "yellow" collision, nevermind Wink, Deledrius and dj_ can both see them.

Bottom line here... There's an overlap between a fixed collision wall and a movable (move + able, I'm not sure lol) collision wall.

Strangely enough, I thought it was because the movable collision wall was brought down by dj_ in his Teledahn. It appears, from dj_'s writing hand...that you can do it even in the initial state of Teledahn on first linking meaning the 2 walls are still overlapping but with a gap.

I can't disclose it since dj_ seems to keep that secret...but try to find where the overlap is the elevator will be just there Wink

... and

well...yes collision, obscure not really Laughing , dj_ was right on an important matter...and therefore I was wrong Wink , you just have to push the button to call the elevator since it's an easy one to find & most importantly to reach Smile

Post Posted: Wed Jun 06, 2012 9:05 pm — Post subject: elevators & Jumping Combos

I'm still puzzled by the jumping/elevator discussion. It seems that many of these (like combo jumps?) were once possible - but now it seems only in the Gehn shard do any of these things work, unless I'm missing something.

Can anyone enlighten me?
