Perfect! Very Happy
Just oooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnneeeeeeee tiny little thing.
Lyrositor ducks as various objects are thrown his way.
The "MYST" word has slightly jagged edges. Your other words don't have this problem, so I was wondering if you could make it as beautiful as the rest? Smile

The design has been fixed!

As you can see, I have not removed the Falling Man, I just made him more subtle, so that way it doesn't clutter the logo. Very Happy

Oh, and Lyrositor, I was able to figure a way out to fix the jagged text!

Sorry, T-Squared, I liked the other Falling Man more, it had more substance, it was
more 3d like and noble ... Razz

I find, in the contrary, that this new more transparent one with the outline is cluttering
the logo and irritating the view on the logo much more and don't forget that in the first
place in general you/we have to 'ignore' your own watermark which is confusing the
whole additionally ... but that could only be me seeing it like that ...

Thanks for the idea, your thinking of that upcoming event and your efforts however,
you're on the right track and congrats to the success of the removal of the jagged
edges of the text to let it shine even more noble and elegant ... Very Happy

I hate to say it but I think this is beggining to fall under the category of "less is more". It's getting too crowded and noisy. Good concept though. Remember the K.I.S.S principle Smile

Agreed with the "less is more" in this case. A few suggestions to achieve that:
* make the falling man smaller (but maybe more solid) and place him on top of the blue fissure between the words and the linking book. (The words would have to be moved up.)
* make the stars in the background much smaller.

Try moving the slider to select a different signal...

Starry background was definitely the way to go! (Maybe one with an alpha channel in the future? Very Happy )

I love everything except maybe instead of making the falling man less noticeable, you could try making the fog less so? It doesn't look bad, but it's almost as solid as the firemarble glow.

Otherwise, this one gets my two thumbs up! You nailed the lettering!

Another draft completed! I think I may have hit the final draft! Very Happy

*The Falling Man has been filled back in.
*The Stars have been moved to "the outer rim" using the baseline of the D'ni font as a boundary reference (so as not to clutter the center).
*The nebula-like formations have been made more subtle, and a few of them have been moved out of the way so that way the Falling Man can be seen clearly and in full-shape form.

I'm liking this latest version a lot better. With no stars etc surrounding the fissure it looks much more like you see the fissure at the end of Riven. Also with the falling man "on top of" the fissure it looks more like Atrus has fallen from it rather then just a layered mess of elements.

Maybe you should try a draft without the D'ni text around it also. It gives the whole image a "closed in" feel to me and most people wouldn't be able to read what it says anyway so it just becomes an element in the overall design and as such I feel that it crowds the image too much and detracts from it.

Wow!!! This is quite awesome already, T-Squared ... Great idea to remove the stars
out of the center and to reduce them in size and the more transparent nebular fits
good now ... Smile

What numinous is proposing sounds interesting as well, to remove the D'ni circle,
though the text is so beautifully designed and really looks great, it'd be interesting
to see both versions for comparison ... It would in general be great to have more
versions to compare with ...

What I'd like to mention and propose to consider would be to make the book a bit
smaller and/or remove the rectangular edging as well as considering to adapt it more
to the overall design and make it more shiny as its look and feel is more sketchy ...

Yeah, thanks again, T-Squared, great job so far, when I think that you've introduced
this just a few days ago as a 'Rough Draft' as you've called it ... Keep being inspired ... Very Happy

On the contrary, the unknown is what gave Myst its appeal! It'll compell the viewer to go off and find out what it means, just as that first glimpse of Myst Island compelled us all to go forth and uncover its secrets.
